I would say it's more than a "handful of plays". Have we been watching the same games?

I can think of DWA against Florida and he over threw wide open Palmer on a deep route against BYU.

What other plays specifically are you talking about that are just huge missed opportunities?

We rarely have wide receivers running wide open and the throw being completely off target. They are memorable, but not that plentiful.

You aren't going to have WR's wide open like DWA against UF, but we have had a number of times that a WR has had a step on a defender. Or a WR has sat down open in a zone, and JG has thrown in elsewhere.

This. There have been numerous times he's had downfield opportunities but decided to check down to swing passes. JG plays like he's scared.

I agree. Winning two games is never acceptable. And it is not as if the East is some strong division right now either. I am saying we just have to wait and see how the season unfolds. If he manages 5-6 then he is safe. If he wins 2-3. He needs to go or fans will be completely checked out.
I think 3 or 4 wins feels quite likely rn. At this point, I'd be downright estatic with 5 or 6...don't see how it happens though. Ignont and Reid sure don't help. Depth is shot all to hell.

I'll be shocked if we only win 2. I'll firmly hop on the fire Pruitt immediately bandwagon if that happens. 3 or 4 is what I'm thinking too. 5 would give me reason to think Pruitt could eventually be a good coach for us and would save our recruiting.

If that were to happen, it would be the ultimate embarrassment seeing that on national TV. And god knows the broadcast personnel would harp on it to the point of derision.
GA St has already claimed the title of the ultimate embarrassment on national TV.

I get that but that’s not a problem specific to us. That’s everywhere with less than great QB play

It reminded of me in basketball when you have a guy standing under the basket wide open and instead of a simple pass you rocket it to him and it bounces off his hands.

Catchable? Yes. But bad decision and execution. It’s about having awareness of the type of throw you need there.
Somehow he wasnt like that last year. I know hes had some tight windows but ffs if he can just deliver a 90 mph fastball instead of 100 mph one hed be fine. Where did he even get this idea from? I cant even think of an NFLer that rockets short passes to that degree.

Yea, and usually those other places don't win many games either. If JG wouldn't have thrown into 3 guys in a zone to start the second half against BYU, we probably win. I get the defensive breakdown at the end, but the defense had played great all game, and we gave them 25 yards to score.

He's just not seeing the field.

I think he would’ve...easily.
I actually agree with Kingston.

That being said, if DWA had been able to catch the pass in stride, I think he definitely had a chance to score. But he'd already broken stride anticipating that the pass would be underthrown, only to have it sail 7 yards over his head.
