Is a red out at Neyland possible?

At Tennessee now we are getting used to embarrassment on the field. 8 of the 16 games coached by Pruitt so far have been embarrassing. (West Virginia , Twice to Florida, Georgia ok last year score was kinda close but we never had a real chance to win, Alabama, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and GEORGIA STATE ) but now we are getting ready to be embarrassed in the stands and on national TV. Georgia officials are calling for a redout in Neyland stadium and trying to get 40,000 bulldog fans to attend. Have we official replaced Vandy as the laughing stock of the league? Vandy is used to being the AWAY team at home games. When will our administration wake up and stop this from happening? They have run this program so far down I seriously wonder if it will ever be good again in my lifetime. Does the administration seriously care about winning or just money? Somebody at UT needs to step up and take the remaining tickets to the Georgia game and go to local high schools and middle schools and give tickets away. Buy the tickets from vivid, StubHub and Ticketmaster before Georgia turns Neyland into a sea of red and black.

oh for the good old days of singing Rocky Top at an orange and white full Dudley field when Vandy was trying to announce their seniors on senior day.

There will be 4 people wearing orange or white with me. I wish we didn’t suck, but we do. Only way to even try to get better only after 1 year with Pruitt is to at least give him 2 full recruiting cycles.

As long as his recruits continue to show toughness and fight, I’ll be there cheering.
Hope you have more than 3 points to cheer about.

Go Vols!

Ga fans drove up price of Vandy/UGA tickets to $400+ on the street before the game and Nashville on the weekends is much more expensive destination than Knoxville even on a game weekend. Their home game against ND avg ticket price on resale market was over $600 and it's impossible to get a room for a home game in Athens at almost any price if you don't have a reservation in place a year in advance. The cost of game in Knoxville is cheap by comparison. The only thing working against the UGA fans taking over Neyland is the fact that it's not an easy place to fly into.

Going full-force to a Vandy game and taking advantage of Nashville's amenities is a very different thing than going to a UT game. There will be a lot of red, but no where near enough to call it a red-out. By simple math, even with 40K UGA fans, that's still significantly less than half our stadium. Vandy's stadium was more like 85-90% UGA.

Did you see Georgia’s game at Notre Dame in 2018.
The dawg fans took over their stadium. If the can do it in Indiana, they sure can in next door Tennessee.
2017. It was unbelievable. Georgia fans came early and saw the Braves play the Cubs at Wrigley Friday and the Falcons played the Bears on Sunday.

UGA with the foot on the throat not giving any ground.

Is what it is. I would hope we would do the same thing.

All the GA fans in my workplace are going to the game. I'm in NW GA so its actually closer to Knoxville than Athens for them and there's plenty of cheap tickets. A lot of taking over "Dawg fans will be taking over Knoxville" yadda yadda yadda.

I really thought it would never be this bad. Never in my wildest dreams. I starting watching games in the late 80's so at least I got to enjoy some really good times but I just never thought our program would be this bad. If we had a lot of injuries at key positions I could understand it but our team is just seems really dysfunctional. I listened to the game on the radio and you could just hear it in the announcers voices how bad we looked. When I finally watched it on TV it was just baffling. I think there's just a lot of BAD communication issues. Maybe it has to do with players from previous regimes.....but if that's the case I don't see why they didn't just transfer?

It is dishearting to go to the game with no real chance to win but we'll be there in Orange cheering our Vols on.Maybe they can keep it close for a little while.

It’s not going to be a pretty sight. Just watching UGA play last Saturday against ND made me jealous. Their intro was awesome, they had real athletes who were coached well. Kids hurdling defenders, leaping for big catches etc. They will score until Kirby feels sorry for Pruitt and lets up. Likely somewhere around the 50 mark.

I'll start showing up again when they start giving their all for Tennessee, they've played with zero heart and no emotion. They're a direct product of their head coach

Right. The most disappointing part isn’t that we aren’t very good, it’s that many of the players don’t seem to even care.

You can either be part of the solution or part of the problem..... The team, coaches, and fans all need to be pushing in the same direction..... Pruitt may end up being the main issue with the team but the overwhelming majority of our productive players are 1st or 2nd year in the program.... This is a bigger rebuild than most of us thought it would be.

Nope, this administration has taken advantage of this fan base for far too long. We have spent our hard earned money while they count it and laugh, they don't care so F them.

They do too care..... they have fired how many coaches and paid how many buyouts....they also tried to offer how much to Gundy? They may not have made the right hires but it’s not from trying..... They also made two huge splash hires at offensive and defensive coordinator. I have 100% confidence that Phil will die trying to bring us back. If Pruitt can’t get it done then Phil will try to bring in someone who can.
