Unless Dansby gets hot the last 5 games (which I hope he does) I think Hech should start in the NLDS. Dansby has a OPS around .450 since coming back from the DL which is worst in the league. Hech has a OPS around .900 since coming over from the Mets. Obviously this is team is better when Dansby is producing at the plate but as of right now I don’t see how you can justify starting him in the playoffs.

Adeiny has 3,000 ABs of .639 OPS. I imagine that’s close to if not the worst in baseball over the last 7-8 years. He is a journeyman. He has no future with this team.

Aside from being a significantly better player, Dansby is under control 3 more seasons. If you bench him for Adeiny, you might as well trade him for pennies on the dollar this offseason.

If anyone thinks the difference in a WS title is the (incorrectly) perceived gap from Adeiny to Dansby, they should have their head examined.

Anyone that follows baseball obviously knows Dansby is way better then Adeiny. But Dansby has straight up sucked since he has come back. He has made several errors which isn’t like him either. Like AV said you play your best 9 for the playoffs and Adeiny currently is playing better then Dansby
