Larry says we have to keep Pruitt and let him get 3 more classes in here before we can make a move
No way. A coach doesn’t need five years to see if they are going to make it. The only reason they don’t want to move on is strictly financial. If we win 2-3 games this year and 4-5 next year then they have zero chance of season ticket sales being close to 50,000-60,000 and they will be forced to make a move.

Scariest part about that is UAB is 3-0 right now. With the 18th ranked defense in points allowed (against nobodies though).

I just want every game to be like the BYU game...pay hard and if we lose it comes down to the wire. I can't stomach all the 25+ loses, and for all that Butch did wrong getting blown out this often wasn't one of those things.
if we've got 1 win heading into UAB then we'll lose. UAB isn't bad and they drilled a pretty good south alabama football team.

This new 4 game rule was instituted because coaches wanted a chance for players to get their feet wet with some playing time in 4 games. It was a good rule in that sense for players.

It was NEVER intended to let players decide after 4 games that they should be able to make a decision on their own to quit on their programs
. That must be changed .
first post on this topic i agree with.

Russell Smith just said he talked to someone in the coaching profession and it’s not great. The word is out on Pruitt. He’s an extreme micromanager and a poor people person. And he’s fixing to lose a lot of the staff.

The RS rule has always been a coaching/player decision made based on whether a player was ready to perform or not.

Or a medical issue

With each loss this year, each week the rumors will continue to grow. I do not think we should fire Pruitt, but have a hunch by season end they won't have a choice. JMO

Edit: And by years end, I think Pruitt would be relieved to take his buyout and move on.
