King's a senior isn't he?

Guessing he didn't have the ability to Grad transfer. Can't fault the guy for using the system. I will be surprised if he's not staying close to home.

Mond could be out at A&M if he leaves early, Hurts will be gone next year, Ehlinger could leave Texas early, Brewer might even leave Baylor.

If he's willing to forfeit what's left of this season I think he's going somewhere he can be the starter and put up huge numbers, but at a big school. Be surprised if he's in the SEC (unless at A&M). Then again LSU might be willing to take him as well...interesting situation.
Apparently he will be transferring using the grad transfer option. Oklahoma would have to be the favorite with their recent track record, but I could see LSU tapping into this market.

The funny thing is posters like @butchna tried to claim just yesterday that this rule was a good one and didn’t encourage players to leave after 4 games. Those ignorant takes didn’t age well lol
Haven’t budged and it wasn’t “tried”. The rule doesn’t encourage players to use the option. Bad results at the school do. Houston’s having a clunker and you begrudge the kid a chance to do something good for himself. Don’t use the word “funny” in any context...need a soul first.

Aged great. Feel stronger about it today.

Lol

So where do you draw the line?

Let them play as many places for as many games as they want?

Maybe 5,6 7 maybe 10years for 8,10,12, or 20 different teams?
lol

That would be impossible lol. You have 5 to play 4 and that’s the math lol being lol used.

JMO.

The QB has regressed. Easy to see. Hard to manage when he was average before that regression. His back ups are just not ready.
The OL is better. Not there yet, but its easy to see improvement.
The RBs are better. Chandler has played well when given the ball and Gray has been solid as a Fr.
The WRs/TEs at worse are the same. Their progression is hard to gauge with the QB problems.

The DL as a whole has regressed. The edges are decent but we re not near good enough in the middle. You could make an argument that graduation played a role here. But I don't think thats all of it.
The LBs are better. Better talent and now are relatively healthy.
The secondary is about the same or slightly worse. Thompson being out hurt. Taylor has looked like the same guy. NW is about the same which just isn't good enough. Jackson and some of the young guys have flashed but still have a ways to go.

Its not earth shattering but the offense is one player away from being pretty good. Good enough to win 8 or 9 games.
The defense is struggling because the DL can't get to the QB. And we re struggling at S. The more you blitz, the more you hang out your secondary. Its a necessary risk right now but its gonna come at a price.
agree with all of this except i'd say Warrior has just been bad. good post.....

It will ruin the sport like Free Agency did for the NFL. This must be stopped before little hearts are destroyed.
Santa Claus ruined Christmas. Originally it was a heartfelt, festive occasion where Herod The Bruin would order the murder of all male babies and everyone would have punch afterwards.

4 games ain’t a whole season. NCAA got it right. Glad it happened. That it irks you is a bonus.

lol

The RS rule has always been a coaching/player decision made based on whether a player was ready to perform or not.

Or a medical issue

This new 4 game rule was instituted because coaches wanted a chance for players to get their feet wet with some playing time in 4 games. It was a good rule in that sense for players.

It was NEVER intended to let players decide after 4 games that they should be able to make a decision on their own to quit on their programs. That must be changed .

So, is Pruitt safe if they screw around and lose to UAB? I hope they can figure things out soon.

Scariest part about that is UAB is 3-0 right now. With the 18th ranked defense in points allowed (against nobodies though).

I just want every game to be like the BYU game...pay hard and if we lose it comes down to the wire. I can't stomach all the 25+ loses, and for all that Butch did wrong getting blown out this often wasn't one of those things.
