Beat a "down" Georgia team (7-5 before bowl) and a meh South Carolina team (7-5 before bowl). He really didn't beat anyone else of worth, Vanderbilt went 2-10 that year and winless in the SEC. Need OT to beat Kentucky too.

Still think everyone has some sort of blinders for Kiffin over one crazy showing at Bama.

Lol...lets be honest, just admit that with everything you just said..and you’re reasoning for not liking kiffin,is because of how he left tennessee in the middle of the night lol...he gave us a winning season in his first year and not calling it “year zero”..there hasn’t been a coach since then that has recruited as highly as kiffin did nor has there been another coach that generated the amount of national attention and hype amongst fans, the university ,the media and recruits..he was bringing in TOP 50 football talent in here....he’s a Offensive guru.take your blinders off and think about what he would have done with a josh Dobbs,Alvin karmra,Jalen Hurd,John Kelly,Josh Malone,Preston Williams,Von Pearson,Marquez North,Jauan Jennings,Marquez Calloway,Tyler Byrd,CFA,pig Howard..like the list goes on.

it’s just sad to really think the talent that we have/had on the outside on Offense that’s being wasted because we dont have a QB that wants to throw down field and when he decides too,he misses them by 10 yards.Kiffin and butch are the only two coaches we have had that has came close to beating bama there is no denying that...but if kiffin was in butch jones same game situation,I’m taking kiffin 10/10 times and twice on Sunday same thing goes for Oklahoma,he would have beat saban and stoops. kiffin wants to be the guy that kills the juggernaut (Alabama) and he will be at some point, don’t be surprised when he is a coach in the SEC again.make this post a sticky.

Here’s my “problem” with Pruitt being declared safe no matter what. I’ll begin by saying I think firing Pruitt would be catastrophic and set us back 3-4 more years. As much as I don’t buy he’s the guy, we can’t fire a coach after 2 seasons.

Unless...

There is obvious regression throughout the team, players aren’t getting better as the games go on and discipline issues begin to arise. Those are signs that a coach has quit and/or lost the team. At that point, a change has to be made. I don’t see how you could keep him if he doesn’t want to be here or if him being here is making things obviously worst.

All of this could’ve been avoided if we had landed Jalen Hurts. Good QB play would nullify a lot of the assignment/alignment issues. Having a guy turn the ball over consistently and frequently miss wide open receivers exacerbates every shortcoming we have.

But IMO, this is something that only the AD can answer or evaluate. Fans being so dramatically public with their venom isnt helping and it isnt speeding up the process of **** that we are going through and will continue to go through until a change is made. I get why people are upset, I'm upset, but I'm not sure what yelling Pruitt sucks or screaming that I'm not gonna go to the game is going to do positively.

Eric King, father of QB D'Eriq King, confirms his son is leaving @UHCougarFB & transfer: "It's the best decision for him at this point. Very, very tough (decision). He's got a lot of teammates riding on him. Sometimes you got to be a little self-centered & do what's best for u"
Oh, I was wondering why Bruin was so up in arms about it.

King's a senior isn't he?

Guessing he didn't have the ability to Grad transfer. Can't fault the guy for using the system. I will be surprised if he's not staying close to home.

Mond could be out at A&M if he leaves early, Hurts will be gone next year, Ehlinger could leave Texas early, Brewer might even leave Baylor.

If he's willing to forfeit what's left of this season I think he's going somewhere he can be the starter and put up huge numbers, but at a big school. Be surprised if he's in the SEC (unless at A&M). Then again LSU might be willing to take him as well...interesting situation.

At least not this early......
We aint far off.

He has made some big blunders. Enough that can make you question whether he can do this at all. And most cringe at the idea but he's learning on the job. Will he learn enough to give himself a chance to survive til year 4 and 5 is in question.

The alternative after 2 seasons and 4 coaches is bleak. UT needs him to figure it out. Even if it takes a extra year or 2 you don't want to give. But he has to do his part and start moving the other direction.
