I do recall him doing that. But he'll turn around and be smug in the postgame pressers.

Do you blame him? The biggest "hit pieces" being written about him and UT right now are from Knoxville media.

Martin had an issue, Butch did too...it's not them it's -the local media-

Barnes legit doesn't care so it really doesn't affect him.

I think it’s pretty widespread knowledge that Peyton signed off on Schiano.

However, I’m not sure how any equates that to him being a Haslam puppet.
Didn’t buck em on Schiano but that’s a long way from the narrative that’s been spun. Who was Peyton to “sign off on Schiano”? He has no title. The dude’s rich in his own right, donates millions to the university and is no one’s BOY.

Everything being written about him is absolutely deserved. He and his staff have been absolutely dreadful. And there's zero excuse to be in the position they are currently in.

Coaching search talk and tweets is going to screw up recruiting. Opposing Coaches will use that all year against us.

Losing to Georgia St and BYU is going to be what screws recruiting. Everything is going to circle back to that. If we just win those two games a lot of this would be salvageable. IMO

I know a guy, that knows a guy WHO SAW a screenshot of a text message from a guy! #BOOM 100% FACT

Someone trying to sell a book if you ask me.
She sold a few. It’s amazing the “facts” that’ll diarrhea out of someone if you’ll pay attention to them.

To be fair, who is to say Schiano couldn't have been in a better spot year 2 than Pruitt either?

He shouldn't have been choice #1...heck probably shouldn't be in the top 10. He did however have HC experience and built Rutgers from nothing.

Plenty of national media came to his defense as well.

If Barnes were the football coach he would have never had a chance. We would trying to fire him after he was 3 games below .500 and had a losing record in the SEC after his 2nd year. When the media picked us dead last in the SEC heading into his 3rd year there would have been so much noise around the program and locker room issues that you would never see that breakout year.

The HUGE difference is Barnes had already proven he can coach at a high level. Pruitt had not.

And they’d have been camped out on campus if the hire had gone through. He wasn’t the answer...give yourself a break.

So that sports by Brooks guy info beside the Peyton Manning thing was that Tennessee was a bad job and no one wants it except for maybe some assistant coaches and that one of the reasons for that is that it's a tough place to recruit at. By the way Brooks is a Georgia alum and was a walk on place kicker there for 5 years.

To think. At one point, I thought we'd go 8-4 this year. Don't come to me for predictions.

It sux to see my most disliked team dismantle us two years in a row. But, I'll be patient once again and hope that Fulmer and some of these strong coaches turn things around. Still vanquishing all the Butcj Jones demons.

I’m not saying our team is full of studs but other schools in our conference not to mention our division have achieved more with less recently. That’s just fact.

Very timely tweet/article....2 weeks from Georgia at Neyland and the "red out" attempt.
