NFL tidbits:

These NYG fans should STFU now regarding Daniel Jones after that performance today.

AK is elite and that rookie contract is criminal. 800k this year. Dude about to get PAID barring injury. No holdouts or anything. Just a hard workin' class guy. Refreshing after the AB and EZ holdouts.

Yep AK needs to be paid

Holy cow I swear a player for the browns just forgot he was on defense. He literally went straight to the blocker and blocked him with the ball carrier right beside him

Anyone see that play where Goff rolled out to the left ?

He may not be “that guy”. But he wasn’t awful last year. He kept the rig on the road so to speak.

He’s just flat out bad this year. When everything around him is better
Well that's the difference in what they asked of him last year vs this year.

He's supposed to be capable of more than just being a game manager (last year) and be, or be part of, the reason we win games and make plays (this year)...

He's not a play maker. He's a robot that will do what you tell him to... Not necessarily a bad thing if you have other parts that can fill the gaps.

We don't have the other parts.

Situation and the rule create opportunity.

That's all. It doesn't make suggestions....
The rule was made to allow coaches to get true freshmen game experience without burning a RS. The ability to transfer without sitting out was secondary, and is only being used by upperclassmen who are losers and quitters. Just let Bruin fit it to whatever vapors he's inhaling tonight and move along.

Holy cow I swear Jimmy Haslam is like that owner from Major League and wants the Browns (and Vols) to tank. A player for the browns just forgot he was on defense. He literally went straight to the blocker and blocked him with the ball carrier right beside him

We have better parts offensively than we did last year tho. So did he just get that much worse or is Chaney being stubborn with him and offense?

Chaney is being too good. He’s calling plays JG knows he should be hitting and when he doesn’t he folds

Sad but I swear it’s true. Last year when it didn’t work JG was able to blame Helton.

t

That was his best throw.
It required no thinking or progression. He just reacted and delivered.

You have to be able to take good protection and deliver the ball where it needs to go at this level. Chaney knows that and has given him plenty of chances to show he can get it (more than I would).

It appears that leash is not even short anymore.

I think JG is the same as he's ever been and he's just not the "ready for prime time"type of player. Never had been never will be.

He wasn't "bad"last year, but he just wasn't asked to do much. That offense definitely wasn't on his shoulders.

They're putting more on his shoulders this year and he hasn't handled it well at all.

Last year they managed him. Properly I might add.

This year.. Go be the leader... Go make plays....he can't do it.

The pieces around him have improved. He has not.

For starters, last year one could grant him that the throw might have been better if he weren't about to be decked in 0.1 seconds.

Haven’t looked yet but i Feel confident

Warrior and Burrell graded out as our worst defensive players

Theo, DT, Bituli graded out as best.

(According to PFF)
So now were just down to Calloway as being the only guy who is underperforming with Pruitt as HC that will ultimately wind up on an NFL roster playing on Sundays?

That’s part of my point tho. As experienced and well payed as Chaney is..he should be recognizing that and doing some of the things Helton did last year that worked for JG. That’s what i meant by is he being stubborn.

I think Chaney has done a better job than our offensive numbers show but i also think he’s part of the reason JG has regressed too.

I agree. Our O line is better than last year. I dont know the exact stats but I would guess YDs/carry by TC and EG are up from what they were at this point last year. Maybe the fact that all attention was focused on how bad our OL was last year masked the bigger problem of how bad our WB truly is.

I think most of it is mental. I honestly do. I think he puts pressure on himself. He plays tight. I don't think his heart is in it. Not sure how much he buys into CJP either. Who knows haha.

It really is a mystery man lol.

Well... By all accounts JG has done everything they want him to do in practice and film study etc...

So they put it on him. Also accounting for some upgrades at rb,ol and experienced wr's... There was nothing saying "danger Will Robinson" in regards to what they should expect from their RS Jr QB.... Until the lights came on, on game days...
