Just starting Maurer and committing to him will buy JP some good will from fans and recruits. More importantly, it gives him a much needed out for this abortion of a season.

Even if it doesn’t mean more wins it is in his jobs best interest to make the change. He needs the fans to blame JG and not him

Thank you
Hank thinks our senior and junior classes are legendary, just like mike leach who’s coaching himself into the hall of fame
Yeah you go look at those two classes. And those are supposed to be the experienced, developed leaders of this program...

And out of 51 signees...
Callaway abd bituli are by far the two best from the 16 class.
Warrior, JG have been average to bad. Kongbo and Byrd... Well those 4 are the four highest rated guys from that class...

17..
Smith abd Chandler have been who we thought they were.

Past that... You got a bunch of guys that we all know their names but have not seen near enough of them become more than rotational or depth players...

And Taylor and Jennings the last of that 15 class...

I'm not for losing anybody. But if we have guys that do leave from either of those classes not named anyone mentioned above....I can't say we're losing much besides depth.

Which is important and I'm not for it....

We have good talent at the very oldest part of the roster and at the very youngest part of the roster.

But all we have right now across the middle of this roster is a bunch of bodies....

It’s good for the student athletes. Options are smart.
Any rule that encourages kids to leave in the middle of semester isnt good for kids , teams or their academics

Now if you want to say they should be able to transfer and play immediately after seasons I can agree with you on that

He commands double teams. There’s more to Taylor than just stats. When teams choose not to double him, he can terrorize them.

Okay well if he is commanding double teams, is it still Pruitt's fault when he's not producing i.e. beating double teams? Maybe someone else on the DL should step up. Only way we get pressure is by bring 5+ and more often it seems no pressure unless Cover 0

Banks or crouch.
Crouch looked good that one run. I don’t think they’d move him from defense...just utilize him in packages as some others (not me) have advocated. Would explain the Jordan rumor...those few carries slipping to him slipping away.

Saddest thing I heard from a friend yesterday and it hurt

He said to me “a generation of fans are being lost. Our kids will never care about Tennessee football like we do”

Very true I am afraid
It’s false. Your friend’s a dumbass, I’m afraid.

Hard for me to believe Pruitt running off the older guys is going to pan out. He has no history, no head-coaching equity, to tell me this will work.
You cant lump all of them together no. Some of the older guys have embraced change and are trying to make the best of the situation.

Having said that, there wasnt a lot of turn over the first season as expected. If there are older guys that dont want to jump in with both feet you move on.

Don’t know why we didn’t bring more pressure. Trask had absolutely no feel for backside pressure. We were this close to getting strip sacks multiple times.

I hate all the zone we’re playing now. It hurts the secondary players he recruited that played well last year.

Crouch needs to stay at edge. He’s got a lot of work to do, but he has the potential to develop into a good edge guy. RBs are a dime a dozen and too dependent on what’s in front of them anyway.
He looked good on that 3rd and 1 though. Can use him situationally.
