Surely to goodness you aren’t blaming JG for the first pick??

Oh and i said Very clearly he was bad after the first quarter

Of the first three times the offense had the ball two ended in an interception. Period.

JJ fault on the first one or not, JG had an awful game and the first quarter he was still awful, it only looked better by comparison because the rest of the game he was absolutely horrid.

At least hes a "front runner"

Honestly.. watch the development and potential of plays... big plays are there, positive plays are there but the ball isnt getting there on time or at all. It is not Chaney.
I agree. I think Chaney has called 3 pretty good games. I can recall a couple plays in each game that should have went to the house or at least significant yardage if executed properly.

He is a mentally weak front runner.

If JJ catches that ball and we tie the game i think he plays a very different rest of the game.

Some athletes are just weak minded and play well up until a little adversity hits and then they fold. That’s JG imo

2 INT last year with a worse OL and less experienced receivers.

4 INT through 4 games this year with a better OL and veteran receivers.

My mother who doesn't know what the mascot is could see JG needs to sit for good and play for the future. We are going to lose 10 games this year. May as well do it while getting your new QB some valuable experience.

The richest dude in Alabama is an Auburn booster and he's the one pulling the strings on Bob Stoops to Auburn. They did look good yesterday though. Bama is their test though.
I'd say LSU will be equally challenging. Isn't that the guy that owns Yellawood?

It was a poor pass that could have been caught.

Rewind back to BYU.
He throws a terrible pass early that should have been picked, ironically JJ bails him out by snatching the deflection for a touchdown.
He eventually throws one they cant drop that completely changes the complexion of the game.

He's just a poor QB, whether the breaks swing his way or not. If that was the actually point or just something to debate.

I’m blaming JG for the first pick because a couple plays earlier he had Pope wide open in the corner of the end zone and threw it into the chest of the DL right in front of him.

Most touch he put on a ball yesterday was right to the Florida defender. I was like yeah like that but to our guys

It seems insignificant but it really shows exactly who was commanding the side lines.

Both teams had an issue getting the ball snapped.

Florida’s issue was their first possession of the 3rd QT (iirc) and Mullen called a TO for his QB and Reamed him a new ass hole.

Ours was the first damn play of the 2nd Qt and Bama Pruitt had his finger up his rear and let his QB take a bad delay of game penalty.

One coach was in control of his team and the other clearly wasn’t

That’s the one mistake in the 1st quarter worth debating I agree. Live I agreed with you and was screaming he needed to just put air under the ball but after seeing the replay they showed the safety was closing pretty quickly and I’m not sure I want pope trying to outrun their guy to corner of the end zone with the ball in the air.

I do agree that play perhaps should have been different.

That’s why you throw it as a fade where only your guy can catch it but JG has no touch whatsoever

The other thing to consider is the stats don’t tell the story. Against GSU he was 26/40 for 311, 2 TDs and 1 int....but couldn’t complete a downfield pass when it mattered.

By stats, he had a great game. For anyone watching, he really didn’t.

Did JG have (or...almost have) good stats in the first qtr yesterday? Ok, sure. Did he play well? Absolutely not.
