Last thing we need is a coaching change. Just gotta keep the wagons circled until we can fix the roster. The Tyson Helton experiment continues to be a fatal flaw of Pruitt’s HC tenure. All three QBs on scholarship were recruited by other staffs with major question marks as evaluators. We have 2 projects and a Butch Jones victim with severe PTSD. Chaney has weapons at his disposal and a sufficient line, but has been totally hamstrung by a passer who can’t even throw an accurate screen. An infusion of talent makes coaches look much better, as we’ve seen with the O-line, we just need that infusion at every position group...which takes time for recruitment and development.

WE HAVE TO STOP MISSING ON QBS
So sickening thinking what could have been watching Martinez, Minshew, Howell, Lawrence...even GTs! How did we not even try for Hurts, Fields, or Bryant? Reality is we have a MAC qb room right now, and that makes it real hard to win SEC games.

We just aren’t very good
Things may have been different if jj score a tad and dwa isn’t overthrown but we abandoned the run game way too early

Our defense kept us in it for the first half and minus those few rediculous plays I mentioned things may have been different but we need to score points somehow. That’s all their is too it. I hate saying it but JG sucks, plain and simple. Mauers ability to run and just sling it is honestly what we need the rest of the year to atleast have a chance to win.

Don’t bet on it

That team is good. Freshman QB took some lumps and still lost by one.
That program will keep on its upward path.
They made the right hires from the AD on down and every sport they compete in is thriving

The best part is that we are guaranteed to hire another loser whenever the Pruitt era ends. Expecting UT to make a smart decision is laughable.

I just don’t see Fulmer making a move on a guy he hired. I don’t think any future coaches would blame him at 1-11 or 2-10 but I don’t think he will

Harsin & Bronco, not sure I buy Huepel yet still playing with “house money” at UCF imo.

I agree for the most part.

The one caveat i think would be if you think you have a program changing QB in the fold.

I don’t know if Harrison Bailey is that guy, but some might think he is.

There is zero reason to keep him if we continue to play the way we do. You dont hold onto bad investments. Cut loses and go get a winner or watch the program die for good. This you can’t fire him bs is ridiculous. It doesn’t mater who was the coordinator last year, it doesn’t matter who we have in the qb room. There are glaring red flags that Pruitt isnt going to succeed, mainly the fact we may actually only win 2 games this year.

I’m not saying you CANT fire him, or that the argument can’t be made that he deserves it after a <4 win season. But IMO it’d be a huge mistake long-term if we’re being realistic about replacement options.

So we should dump Bailey. He was a Helton recruit. Wasn't recruited by Chaney at GA.

What are the odds JG takes the next offensive snap for UT? Should be 0% but I wouldnt be surprised if he starts. 50/50 prospect it seems.

We all knew it was going to take 2-3 years and yet here we are. We shouldn’t have lost to GA state nor BYU but that ish happens. We don’t suck but we do have a horrible QB. I think JG days of starting here are over.

I hope. But I also don’t think they’ll send BM out to slaughter against UGA. Who knows....
