I'd just say the ship is in the same place it's been for the last 3 years.

Look.. We suck. We have sucked. We're probably gonna suck for at least this season and maybe next.

It doesn't matter what we do with the coach right now.

Keep him.. Gotta be patient until he gets the roster comply flipped.

Fire him... Gotta be patient with the next guy until he gets the roster flipped or at least gets some pieces he can win with.

So either way... Sit on your hands, bite down hard and just embrace the suck.

I'm actually pretty interested in this too. I remember after the 2016 season there was a lot of rumors that Butch was looking to get out. I think Pruitt knows he's ****ed and in way over his head.

Dude he cant make basic passes lol. 2 completions today were way off and just great grabs by receivers. We are just fuzzed at QB if we aren't willing to throw jump balls deep.

Granted I think we can run better vs a lot of teams...not today.

But it's not about a play or two out of 70 plays, it's about the other 68 - you're missing the larger point. Just like the tv commentator said - he is not playing to our QB's strengths. He's trying to make him a 4-wide west coast guy that makes multiple progressions. That isn't JG! It's blatantly obvious he can't read 4 WR sets and over the middle well. Need to keep him in a box. Play to his limitations and play to our passing strengths - utilizing MC and JJ's height, strength, and ball skills.

I'm sure you realize these are our passing strengths as well.

Trust me - you’re preaching to the choir about how bad this is going to be. But this team is not working harder nor smarter than it was a year ago. If we stay on that trajectory you have to make a change. I’m not even talking about wins and losses. The whole program looks incompetent.

Good staffs have their players ready and scheme away, even if there is a talent disparity.

We lose to GA State and can’t cover a WR or TE to save our lives

I could see where putting him back in after watching Maurer show some gumption was ONE LAST CHANCE. And they moved that last drive...before another turnover. If that wasn’t enough for Pruitt to see, then I have nothing else to guess...or defend.

I mean, we are just f*****. We need to make a coaching change and it’s also the last thing we need. I, I....just don’t know. This sucks worse than anything any other fan base in the conference, and maybe the country, has had to go through in the recent past.

Guys - change the QB, change the future. Let the new QB get all the reps with the 1's for two weeks. JG is a huge problem. Chaney cannot unleash the full O scheme with him at QB - no trust at all. The D gets tired from being on the field all the time. More than the D-line, the secondary stinks at zone coverage. Can't have them out there 35 minutes plus per game. Add in Pruitt's questionable in-game decisions (sound familiar?) and you get this week after week.

Matt Campbell, Bryan Harsin, Josh Huepel, Blake Anderson, Bronco Mendenhall

who else?

I know it’s not likely we’re making a move this offseason but the move is coming by Election Day 2020.

Butch I was familiar with, not a first choice hire but I got it, continue being cheap and let’s see if we luck out.

Pruitt is likely done at UT, he’ll be here for year 3 though. Unless he leaves by choice. He might end up figuring it out at some point...don’t know.

What bugs me most is Kiffin over Patterson & Dooley over Whittingham...hiring based on the man someone’s dad was is never smart.

It will be Fulmer. It will be a circus. You can almost see this train wreck coming. If there is one constant, it is we continually out do ourselves. I don’t see why this would be any different.

If Bill Clark rolls into town and beats us Fulmer needs to go ahead and get a deal signed with him before he gets back on the bus.
