I’m a negative Nancy but I remember feeling like those guys weren’t going to get it done well before your checkpoints.

I knew Dooley was done after UK his second year. I was begging for someone to hire Butch after 2016 when we lost to Vandy. I knew he’d never have a team better than that. (Certainly didn’t see 4-8 coming the next season though.)

Pruitt was done the minute the Ga State game ended.

Exactly, but as history shows, we'll let it burn before making a change. I'm of the mindset, you make a coaching change at the right time, not based on a minimum number of years. Every situation is unique and should be evaluated as such. This is not only results based, but also the confidence in a coaches ability to lead the program into the future.

We would be the laughing stock for sure, but at this point I am wondering if the Fulmer interim for the next few years and stabilize and recruit approach wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Fill the coffers and and go get a home run in in the next few years.

Should he have caught it? Yes. But that should’ve been a simple catch and throw but when your QB has no awareness when not to fire that ball and it sails high then you problems can happen

Fulmer isn’t gonna sit around and go 1-11 or 2-10. That’s not happening. Fulmer is obsessed with the all sports cup. Right now we’re right inside the top 20. He wants to be top 10.

Agree, but this is a Fulmer hire. He hired him knowing he had never been a head coach before and he knew what came with that. Plus, he knew where this roster was/is and what it is going to take. With all of that knowledge, he chose Pruitt. I don’t see him pulling the plug unless the team absolutely quits on the staff.

(He doesn't have the cornbread nuts to do it) Release them from their scholarship and off the team. He has the power to do that and if that is what it takes to get the team on the same page and remove the cancer, then DO IT. All this talk of paying players, if they are not giving their all, then they are not EARNING their scholarship and should be fired/released. Period. That's the type of thing that will get people's attention and recruits/parents attention. Dump about 6-8 losers who don't care and send the message that it's a privilege to play here for many reasons.

That’s the problem behind the problem. It was too hot for even our biggest dog to pull in.
At first, I thought the same, but after re watching it, it was simply thrown entirely too hard.

Some of the players are trash. Stop.putting everything on the coaches. We have a trash QB, a trash safety.

Oh I can’t argue that. JG brings the team way down. And I should walk that back. The right coach maybe doesn’t win today but he would field a competent looking team. And make in-game decisions that help.

Astonishing that he is exponentially worse than Dooley and Pruitt

I doubt Jerry Rice could've caught it. JG plenty of athletic ability, just seems to have no clue to play the QB position.

Because there are no real winners here. Yes, the coaches make a ridiculous amount of money, they may not be worth it and UT may have chosen unwisely again, but being around a losing program takes a toll on every one. Negativity is draining, and failing isn't fun. For anyone.

I completely disagree. If that was true then Our Facilities, VFL Films, social media, Grounds/playing surfaces, equipment, support staff...etc wouldn’t be top notch like they are.

We literally have every single inch of everything we need to be competing with everyone in the country. We just can’t make the right hire to do it.

Whatever. That was a catchable ball right in his face. He just missed it. I’m not a JG fan at all but a 5th year receiver has to catch that ball in the Swamp.
