I agree with you that the wounds are deep - I’m not blaming him for putting us in this situation.

I am stating that he has offered zero evidence that he is capable of fixing it. I think it’s best to avoid a sunk cost fallacy situation. If others aren’t there yet, they will be at this rate.
I said it before the season began that the only way he could get fired is if he gives them no choice.

2-10, 3-9.... Yeah it'd be harrrrd to defend.

The only valid reason to keep him, and I don't know that I'd agree with it at that point, is for the sake of stability and recruiting....

And if you fire him... It's the inevitable "who we gonna get"... And really I don't know that we get a good/great coach.

Which could also be another secondary reason for keeping him.

Bottom line for me...I don't see much changing any time soon either way

I feel bad now, but by mid-week I’ll feel good about looking better for the bye week coming up next weekend.

Watching games the last few years and today has solidified the fact that UT has no business recruiting any pro-style QB if it wants to succeed. Period. The only way we move forward with what we have is with a true Dual-threat that moves the chains. Bo Nix at Auburn is the model. True freshman who can zing it and run it every play... oh, and is a true Freshman.

Also, and this will get lost in all this crap today----- watching the AU A&M game-- Malzahn is killing it on the road with a true freshman and undefeated right now, but is almost literally chewing ass on the sidelines if anything goes wrong on the field. Even walking parallel with the freakin kicker staring him down chewing for a bad kick... He is holding his team to a higher level of excellence and expects it.

Meanwhile, our F;n cornbread coach walked aimlessly along the sidelines watching us literally implode and didn't do crap except yell at JG once or twice and then put the fool back in...

We actually may see ticket sales decline by the next game.

There is a swagger and confidence just about every other team out there plays with, and we have no fire and just go out and go through the motions, waiting to lose. It has to change.

Can't wait for the DA's that will come on here tomorrow and try to rationalize this clown show. Yes, we were not going to be good this year and everyone prepared for it. But this is a whole nother level of SUCK. This undisciplined crap on the sidelines, in the booth, and on the field just isn't acceptable for a program like this with the fanbase and resources we have.

Of the 25 we sign, we will get maybe 10 quality kids at this point and the rest will be just bodies that are happy to have a scholly. I will be TRULY, TRULY, shocked if Bailey hangs on much longer. He may wait until the end of the season, but in the end, he will not come here with this staff- so prepare for it.

I know this is the regular post-game meltdown, but this thing isn't changing, unfortunately.

I am a UT grad and proud of my university, but I am moving on from this particular sport for the remainder of the season. It is officially not worth the time and/or money anymore. Thank goodness I didn't renew my tickets...

Rick Barnes ya'll....

Not a fan of boosters essentially trumping AD hires.

You pay the AD to make these decisions, why are we so obviously not doing this?
Really? They provide the money for the ad to make the decision so they get a say in how their money is spent

For the first time time since 1995 I did not turn the game on. Deep down I knew what was going to happen and I just can't stomach watching our ineptness game in and game out.
Its been obvious to me since the end of last year that Pruitt isn't the guy. I know the buyout seems insurmountable but the longer we wait the worse it's going to get. How many people do u think will be in the stands next few games?

If it's me in charge and thankfully its not I'm working behind the scenes attempting to get an agreement With a PROVEN coach and pull the trigger. We just can't keep the status quo can we?
I will not watch UGA or Bama games

It’s crazy how quickly and completely the wheels came off the Jeremy Pruitt experiment.

We’ll see if he can get something sparked in the last 1/3 of the season. Something to believe in.

He looks to be pretty much done though. Already. Crazy.
Dooley was mid third season

Butch was first three games of his 4th

Pruitt has actually shown his cards day one of season 2

Astonishing that he is exponentially worse than Dooley and Pruitt

Not gonna lie. I kinda feel bad for Pruitt. He thought he could come in here and change things and it’s just been a horrible mess the whole time with the left over culture. His guys are always talking him up but the upperclassmen look like they’re just buying their time for the most part. His unwillingness to bench JG going forward is more than likely gonna cost him this job.

The only thing that will keep this thing together is the 2020 class.
Definitely feel bad for him.

I just don’t understand how the whole staff can be this bad.

We have to have major player issues and it obviously starts at QB.
It’s not hard to understand. It’s the Peter Principle. They’ve reached their point of incompetence. Part of it is they have no idea how to develop and coach players that aren’t five and high four stars.

I’m a negative Nancy but I remember feeling like those guys weren’t going to get it done well before your checkpoints.

I knew Dooley was done after UK his second year. I was begging for someone to hire Butch after 2016 when we lost to Vandy. I knew he’d never have a team better than that. (Certainly didn’t see 4-8 coming the next season though.)

Pruitt was done the minute the Ga State game ended.

I like Pruitt, I really do. He was/is just not ready for this job. He should have never been hired. He'sin way over his head. He probably has no idea where to go from here.
