Getting more and more difficult to send him off. Young team with two straight titles in a division where everybody outspends the Braves except the Marlins.
You can't fire him. There's no doubt this team plays hard for him. He's doing a good job. But he's got to make better decisions. I'm afraid he'll cost us a game in the playoffs by some of his boneheaded decisions.

He has also graded out as their worst lineman so far this year haha

Source? Bc PFF doesn’t support that.

Fresno - 72.2
Stanford - 53.2
BYU - 57.8

Avg - 61

Which isn’t great but he’s not even their worst OLmen let alone player... he’s gotta be doing something right to be holding his spot.

PFF also graded JG the 2nd best QB in the SEC lol. Gospel right there

Pretty interesting discussion on the Russillo pod today with Andy Staples. Two of my favorite guys in their respective fields. Russillo is really smart and thoughtful on the NBA and I think Staples is one of the smartest guys covering college football nationally. I believe Staples is one of the few who still defends Tennessee fans over Schiano Sunday.

Anyway, they spend about 3 minutes talking about the Tennessee program. The takeaway was basically that the only difference between Tennessee and Nebraska is Nebraska has accepted where they are and Tennessee hasn’t. Not sure I agree that’s the only difference - but it may be my orange blinders.

Anyway, inevitably Pruitt’s future comes up, as should be expected. I think Staples believes in Pruitt pretty highly (doesn’t say so in this podcast but has before on Twitter and such) but he says his fear for Tennessee is that we’re essentially trying to recruit the same types of players as Alabama and Georgia. The problem is that, because we’re down right now, we’ll continue to get the lesser talented 1/3rd of those high school players - i.e., we’ll never catch up to those two - and that doesn’t even mention the problem in Gainesville. Basically you start the season at a disadvantage against your top three opponents - and it’ll take better gameday coaching to bridge that gap both in the short term and long term.

Tl;dr, I don’t think I ever really thought of it this way. That we should be zigging when the top of the conference is zagging. I don’t know that it’s true or false - just a different way of looking at things.

Exactly why we should've let Curry closed the deal with Leach. To get back we needed to play asymmetrical warfare. Pruitts plan works if he can u can get enough of those players, but hard to recruit against bigboys right now. Given our current personnel, I think Leach would have at least gotten us a bowl last year.

What can I stream the game on tomm? My youngest has a soccer game at noon!😬
My oldest, the football player, and I want to watch while we’re at his game. Lol

Or would it be that our pitching still ain’t there? During the 90’s Braves run, I second guessed Bobby a lot. Turns out no manager calls em perfectly. The Yankees talent especially pitching made Joe Torre a genius there that he never replicated anywhere else.
