Florida just looks to have the better chance, no where near the rankings. The hardly ever played QB looked like he threw against P5 defenses better than our veteran & that's huge.

Wts, the mental stuff is silliness. All I feel is hate, not dread. Big portion of players either remember beating them in 16 or Fl doesn't mean crap to our young guys. Most of our coaches are used to beating them.

Honestly, if that happens, it's hard to imagine breaking this cycle of suck unless HB is a stud. Recruits will bail and we'll just be treading water forever.

IMO

This looks about right.

We can beat South Carolina and Mississippi State. But we can lose to UAB, Kentucky and Vandy. All told I’m with your record prediction.

- a brawl before the game with no ejections,
- JJ get a taunting penalty (that doesn’t bite us) after he scores on the opening drive,
- Jeremy Banks knock at least 1 gata out of the game, preferably 2, and preferably both QBs,
- UT scores more points.

The Auburn game last year is the model to follow. Everyone is mentioning the 50:50 balls we hit over and over that game, and that is what we need again, but remember we also got a crazy turnover scoop score by the D. We will need something like that (blocked punt, special team TD, defensive score) to win most likely.

I wanna see BOTH Ty & Gray Travis Stephens their ace, in the swamp UT hits 400+ on the ground and the defense shuts 'em down.

Look, I get it. The history and odds aren't in our favor. But, I'll be damned if I'm going to sit up in here and whine about it all week. This year is probably the best year we have to upset them for the foreseeable future. They have a bunch of disadvantages against them this year and I think we capitalize on them, imo.

One thing we don't agree on.. looking at recruiting, attrition and so on, I believe we're about to flip the script on wins and losses, starting soon.

I like a lot of our future chances.

We only have one other JJ and Trey and he may or may not play - Bryce. D-Taylor can be. When i see a half dozen or more of that type on each side of the ball I will know we are on our way back.

My reasoning for the thinking is that E. Jones will have been in the system for 3 years while HB will be a true freshman. But, I'm also fine watching them not sign 20% of their class over and over and guys transferring and getting the boot.

Long post ahead;

After G St I was admittedly pretty defeatist about this program especially given some life circumstances, but then I went to the BYU game, front row under the lights and it changed everything. Met some great people who were just enjoying Neyland, the atmosphere & the $12 beers. Enjoying seeing the growth of the team even in a loss. Theres no reason to be so negative & angry towards the football team all the time dudes, its not healthy for the program & ultimately your own mindset. I noticed after being away from here, even when I was dealing with the loss of my best friend, that I was more enjoyable, less argumentative and more.

We may lose every game and fulfill the sad, masochist mindset that seems to almost be welcome here day in and day out. Say what you will about VQ and the like but theyre right, the Vols and our fans dont even know how to win its always just woe is me. I say **** that, cheer on the Vols on Saturday & stop circle jerking to every bad scenario you can think of.

I get being realistic about expectations but damn get hyped its game week.

What’s the inflection point in your opinion? Anything under 5 wins destroys recruiting if I had to guess.

Let me tell ya something right now, if you think Henry T, Bituli, Banks, Gray/Ty, DWA aren't ready to put the hurt on the Gators then you've not been watching this team.

It's a game of "want to" and we're closer this year DESPITE being 1-2 to having a full team of "want to" type players than we have ever been in the post-Fulmer era.

@Freak I don't know how to respond to the alert I got when my post was deleted, so I will respond here. I understand this is the recruiting forum. But I don't know those dudes in the football forum and I don't want to talk to them. Most of those guys who post in there are trolls as several posts in that thread already demonstrate. I wanted to know what these guys, in this forum, that I talk to every day, think. Not what those guys, who I never talk to think. Most of these posters, like myself, never go to the football forum. Thats why I posted it here. I'm not trying to cause problems.
