Seriously man, not hating, but Florida will kill us.I will personally admit I was wrong and apologize to everyone if he doesn’t lead us to a win against Florida next week. I think today’s game will be a launching point for him. Our offensive line will have to be able to protect him though. They looked a lot better today
You should start drafting that post now. JG is horrible, and nothing changed today.I will personally admit I was wrong and apologize to everyone if he doesn’t lead us to a win against Florida next week. JG is the primary liability for this team.If I was going to fault JG for anything it would be his lack of trust in the offensive line. I don’t blame him, but having that confidence in them would go a long way towards him relaxing and taking control rather than waiting for opportunities to present themselves. I’m optimistic about the state of the offensive line in the future, but for the time being they may still be a liability that holds JG back when we’re playing the “big dogs”

Disagree. Clocks not ticking because coaches know how good he can be with enough time. Just like Pruitt needs more time.
Pruitt deserves more time but JG doesn’t?The clock is ticking because the younger players will continue to grow and eventually overtake him. Pruitt certainly does need more time to make this roster his own. He deserves to be judged on the roster he builds not with a group that Butch left him. Hell, that same bunch got Butch fired. When the man graduates his first class, that's when he's fair game. I expect continued improvement as he adds to this roster and Butch's recruits cycle off.
Shrout was not very good. I'm going to go back and watch but pretty sure he missed on most of those passes to no one's fault but his own.Shrout was 3 for 9 and roughly 3 were dropped by second teamers. He threw on time. After the first 2 or 3 throws he calmed down and looked better.
I’m proud of the kid. This was his coming out party and that blastoff that will be the rest of the season.
Let’s Go Vols!!!!
They were downfield dimes. The receivers overran their routes but were open enough for JG to get the ball to them. They weren’t perfect passes, but definitely the highlight of his career at TN at this point (career high 3 TD’s)I was driving (to Fort Walton) and couldn’t get the game so other than looking at the stats I can’t tell much...did he throw down field or were his TDs short throws with long runs? Even though he had no INTs, did he force the ball into tight coverage or check off to another receiver? Was he throwing the ball before the receivers broke open or holding it too long and missing opportunities?
Don’t forget, JG should have beaten a BYU team that took down Southern Cal today had the defense not let him and the offense down
That was then this is now. I’m sorry for the optimism but what JG showed me today has me excited for the rest of the seasonExcept Jennings bailed him out on 2 terrible throws. The D ultimately gave up the big play, but JG was consistently late throwing the ball and could not convert 3rd downs. Also threw a terrible pick. If he plays like that against FL, this team will lose by double digits.
I hope I’m wrong but If I was setting the odds it would be 21 to 28 points.Except Jennings bailed him out on 2 terrible throws.
