The OL coach is the most powerful position coaches on staffs like 95% of the time. They have major say in line up and run game installation.

Chaney was brought in to handle and fix this offense, nothing needed fixing more than the OL.
As VQ also pointed out "he's not getting paid 1 and a half million just to call plays."

And Friend had made comments last year about the importance of practicing hard when it came to Pruitt deciding starters.

But I was just messing with you anyway. If you want e-cred for starting yet another coach lynching, take it brother.
