Maybe Mauer provides a spark the team needs, maybe they rally around him? Nobody knows until you give him a shot. What we do know is that JG isn't the answer.

The nuance is a bitch in this situation.

The part I dread a little is that moment when a backup QB comes in and the stands erupt no matter what JG does tomorrow.
