Not saying 8-4 but I see this team getting much better throughout the season given all the young players. Expecting to see even more youth on the field if the veterans keep making rookie mistakes. They are better than they've looked so far and will only continue to improve. They will go on a run at some point and surprise by the end of the year. I'm at 5-6 winsAfter all the media bashing, what kind of a story would it be if TN somehow turned it around and finished 8-4.
Anyone else feel like the rest of the season is house money in a way?
We've already had an atrocious loss and a gut punch loss. What's left? The CFB gods can't hurt us anymore (outside of 0-12, but I think that's within the realm of possibilities for many of us).
Most of the forum was on that 2-10 train so expectations are already about as low as possible. Even a UTC loss wouldn't faze me. It's kinda nice to have absolutely zero expectations for the rest of the year. Any win will be a good win.
The next morning your realise the difference and you wish you would have walked away sooner ...... unless you get back to even.Sorry but house money is something you play with when you are ahead of the game not behind it.
Now I understand the thinking that losing doesn’t hurt as bad as it did before after getting use to it. I’ve had the approach at the casino a few times of what’s the difference between losing 2k and 4K and let it ride with that feeling is that’s what you mean
So the QB failing to put points on the board is the defenses fault?I agree with what you're saying overall, but there's no way you can logically blame that loss on the QB. In spite of how he played, the game was won, over, W, until the horrible defensive lapses. It's a shared guilt. Putting it all on one person is blatantly unfair.
That 2017 recruiting class is killing us. Y'all go back and look at those names... Those are our upperclassmen
Their talking about this on VQ. Look at the list of complete busts from that class:
Deandre Bembry
Trey Coleman
Ryan Thaxton
Terrell Bailey
James Brown
Will McBride
Eric Crosby
Princeton Fant
Solon Page III
Jordan Murphy
Cheyenne Labruzza
Maleik Gray
Then you've got guys who play some but aren't very good and are passed up already by freshmen and sophomores:
Jacquez Jones
Shannon Reid
Matthew Butler
Tim Jordan
Deandre Johnson
Will Ignot
Ty Chandler, Trey Smith, and Cimaglia are the only really good SEC quality players in that class. There are some other guys who play, but they are guys who shouldn't be on a roster at TN. Unbelievable.

And I thought Butler was going to be an impact player. What a disappointment there. Looking at the reality now I was nuts to think we were going to be soooooo good this year. When CP said they dressed and played the only two RB's available and looking at our LB situation and the lack of depth I can see I was blind to the reality of how inexperienced we really are.
