Walker is a 4 Star. He’s a high 4, but a 4 all the same.

Walker was a 5 star and just got bumped down. It was said in the basketball forum that he plays at Hargrave and doesn't play AAU. That usually results in other guys passing you and not necessarily your ability because the evaluators see more of the others. I still consider Walker a 5 star. Rivals had him at 25 and moved him down 7 spots. He's a top 30 player.

You're a prime example of being impatient. Quit complaining or go cheer for another team. Tired of the ones that only complain about the record. Quit living in the past, we aren't good and haven't been. Pruitt is our coach, and will be the coach. How about you trust that he knows what he is doing. Kind of hard to take a team full of losers and turn them into winners. Pruitt gets a pass from me this season. I will judge next season considering he will have two recruiting classes of his own(19 and 20) and his 3rd year of his system.

Like I keep saying in this thread....it's the same old arguments from the same clueless people. At least give me something to think about. If I hear "Well Butch Jones....." or "Our recruiting classes blah blah" I'm going to assume you don't know a single thing about football.

Biggest thing with me is this:

Pruitt’s pedigree. His success as a coordinator. Guys he’s coached under/for.

Pruitt’s recruiting. Talent he’s bringing in.

Pruitt simply sounds like a football coach. He knows the game. Listen to him. Did butch or Dooley ever sound that like that had half his football iQ?

It appears we’re in for a long rebuild. Most of us were in denial. We thought we had enough good players to win 7-8 games this fall. And we might but the problem is the most important position is QB and we don’t have a good one.

A good QB and we’re 2-0 right now and we’d start thinking we’re better than we actually are. But now we’re seeing the depth, talent and development issues right away this fall because JG isn’t good enough to mask them. So instead of getting hyped 3-0 going into SEC play all excited our hopes and dreams were crushed right out the gate.

But I’m with the crowd that says CJP isn’t an idiot, he didn’t become dumb once he had a Knoxville address. He’s a really good football coach that’s 14 games into a major rebuild. That’s reality.

All the social media talk, the national and local reporters, the opposing fanbases can talk all the trash they want. But it doesn’t mean a damn thing. I’ve tuned it all out and hopefully Fulmer, Pruitt and everyone involved in the program does the same. Let those talking heads have their headlines, stories and jokes. DNGAF. All I want to see is progress from the freshman and sophomores on the field this fall and we saw plenty last week.

It’s going to take time but I’m not writing the season or coaching staff off. I hope UT admin, Fulmer and others dont either. Forget the preseason expectations, that’s out the window. Look for progress each week and if that’s happens we’ll finish the season as a much better team and next year will be better.

Hopefully Harrison Bailey sticks with UT and is ready to roll because if he is, this team will take giant leap next fall. All these freshman and sophomores playing this fall will have the experience of juniors and seniors next fall.

Looking forward to watching more growth this weekend vs UTC. Hopefully the backup QBs get in the game. And maybe we surprise the gators with a real fight the following week. Can’t wait to find out. GBO

That's a fair statement. I'd prefer someone who can coach better then both of them.

I don’t think he “hid” anything. We didn’t know what JG was or wasn’t last year because he was always picking himself off the ground.
