For the majority of college football teams only a small # of players can expect or plan on a NFL future. The rest play for the local fame, fun ,girls, expense paid college degree etc. When a coach tells that majority of players, and the rest of the world, they are no good and not worth his time, don't expect all out effort.

No, some language that once it is translated to English, states that CJP told the team they basically are enept and aren't worth his time cause he's an elitist blue blood from Bama. Thus the team don't want to play for him. Also, Taylor lost his man on purpose in a last ditch effort to throw the game.

Did Taylor tell you he got burnt on purpose? I never heard Pruitt say that. He said there were only 2 players on the team at that time that he tried to recruit when he was at Alabama. The players need to stop being so sensitive and start playing ball. This is SEC NCAA football not the chess club. If the truth hurts your little feelings and you don't like the coachy any more. Take your whinny azz to the transfer portal.

Please point out where I gave reason for what Pruitt has said multiple times or where I called him a Bama elitist. Show also where I made any mention of Taylor. I only point out if it is a football team, a hamburger joint, public utility work crew or whatever, if you start your reign by telling your crew they are POS , don't expect them to give their all. Please flame away.

I’ve said it before but Pruitt needs to figure out how to motivate these young kids to play above themselves. That’s what truly great leaders do. They inspire. When I first started managing people at work one of the senior management guys I respected the most told me to use the “head, heart, hammer” method. Learn what makes your team tick and what matters to them and use that to motivate. If they like you, they will try for you. If that fails, then it’s time for the hammer to come down. Feels like Pruitt skipped to the hammer

You said it well.

How much motivation and leadership do you need to beat a team on your "home field" when the talent level is "boys against men" and you have the "best coaching staff in the country"? Now if the university has spend several years & several hundred million dollars to recruit Ga. State level talent and weaker coaches then I take it all back.

Blah, blah, blah. Team gave effort, QB sucks.

It doesn't bother me when Pruitt says we lack talent and depth. He has also gone on record as saying we have a pretty good team, he likes this group, and this group has worked hard. What really torments me is that in the first two games, against inferior talent, this team was unmotivated, ill-prepared, soft, and out of shape. It baffles me that this staff, a pretty decent staff BTW, has done absolutely nothing in the last nine months to make this team any better. In fact, they have regressed. Maybe I am having a flare up with my BVS, but I don't think this thing has bottomed out yet. If Pruitt believes that the lack of talent and depth are the reason we lost to GSU and BYU, then he is the problem. We see teams every week be competitive with lesser talent. Do you think UT could've taken Michigan to OT at the big house?

Or maybe some of these kids just suck? Young players look like they’re developing

My background is corporate turnarounds. If everything is good except for some minor issues, you can gently guide the organization to a better place.

Another option is the burning platform. If it’s a dumpster fire, call it what it is, and drive out all who resist. The faster you do this, the better.

I like what Pruitt is doing. Surround yourself with players who want to play championship ball.

The majority of scholarship players at SEC schools signed on because they believed it was their best shot at making it to the league. Not because of girls or local fame.

If you can't attack the message, attack the messenger.
Ok. Your OP is a straight up lie. He NEVER said his players were no good and not worth his time. Your message is ********. How’s that? Did I do it right?

He may have not said it in exactly those words but I'm fully convinced that was the message the players received.

And that’s your opinion, NOT fact.

Never stated it as fact. But last time I checked I still have the right to an opinion and the right to express it. In this case I believe it’s one shared by a number of others. That’s also an opinion.

Easy now. I never meant to imply you don’t have a right to your opinion. We can disagree and still be friends, right? Ultimately we both want the same exact thing, for the Vols to win.
