I’m curious to know if Fulmer will be viewing practice this week.

The last thing Pruitt wants is a meddling Fulmer roaming practice. I’m sure he’s hearing the noise from the fan base.

Don’t have a problem if he watches practice. He may need to make another hire in 12-16 months. Needs to be informed, and Pruitt needs to feel pressure. People learn from mistakes and grow when facing adversity. It’s no different for coaches. There’s a difference between watching practice and internalizing what you see versus “meddling” with what’s happening, which is a violation anyways, I believe. Unless you don’t mean “coaching” when saying meddling. Still a difference between watching and “meddling” though.

I really don't understand comments that people don't think the young QB's are ready. How would they know when they have yet to play? Practice doesn't mean anything - JG has been a practice show pony for years and gets the majority of first team snaps in them. Chaney's dumbing the O down as much as he can and let the air out of the ball in the second half because JG is so incompetent. How many of his immediate check downs short of first downs do you need to see to understand? You cannot QB scared and dumb. JG has proven repeatedly over 3 seasons he's not ready and will never be ready. Is losing to G-5's and getting boat raced in the SEC not enough to prove it? He could not beat out Quinton Dormady - let that soak in. Dormady had to be injured for JG to start.

They've got a practice game this Saturday for QB #2. Use it. If he blows it after a quarter or so send Show Pony back in there to hand off and check down, maybe throw it to JJ a half dozen times to score TD's. That should be enough to beat Chattanooga. But they might find they have a promising QB leader in one of those two guys sitting there waiting for their number to be called.

I think there were two different times. Maybe after the first TD and I know he absolutely tore him a new anus right before halftime

He chewed him out on the late throw to Jennings in the end zone when he was wide open for 20 secs. JG tried to keep walking and Pruitt snatched him up.

According to some on here Bailey is a lock. No way he doesn't come here. It's a done deal. Yadda yadda yadda.

Suggesting anything contrary will cause them to want you to go to the FF.

Either Bailey wants to be here or he doesn't. He's remained committed so I'm going to assume he wants to be here. If he doesn't, then better to know that sooner than later. Bitching about how he could change his mind is pointless. And if switching QBs is what causes him to decommit, his heart isn't here anyway. He's either all in, or he's not. We don't need another QB whose heart isn't in this program.

USC lost to 2-10 unc.
Mizzou lost to wyoming.
Vandy is 0-2. Miss st hasnt impressed. Uk is meh and lost their qb.

We should have Bituli back and hopefully BT. Plus our young talent is a lot better than these teams', meaning we could progress more than others.

I think if we bring the fire we did yesterday, we should have every shot at these teams. They aren't any better than BYU. Get 4 out of the 5 and shock people. It's possible!

JG has had two games to show his ineptness. At this point, I'm all for giving Shrout a half and Maurer a half and seeing if either responds with more heart than JG has offered up.

Someone tell me about this b-ball recruiting class. I don’t follow recruiting.

Already have two five stars committed. Walker is a 6’7” forward. Pretty versatile and athletic. Keon Johnson is a 6’5” SG, who is a lockdown defender and has a decent outside shot. He was invited to the USA basketball camp, and folks said he stood out as one of the top players. If we land Springer, he is a 5 star PG at 6’4”. Good athlete and can attack the rim. All are top 30 players.

We are also in on PJ Hall, who is a PF and top 70 player. Hall has an interesting decision. He lives in South Carolina. But his sister plays volleyball at Florida. His dad played at Wofford when Young (new coach at VTech) was an assistant at Wofford. Oh yea, Hall’s Dad grew up in Kingsport, was an all state type basketball player, and grew up a UT fan. Uncle and grandmother still live in Kingsport.

If Josiah James stays a second year, our talent will be unreal.

With every minute our young guys play hopefully it pays off later in the season as long as the locker room can stay motivated. It just feels weird that we cant wake up on game day and guarentee a win outside of UTC.
We were talking about that at the tailgate yesterday. Even over the last few years some of our non-conference games were closer than we'd like. But we had a attitude that'd a win was as close to certain as it possibly could be.

Yep, 4 out of 5, the two remaining out of conference, and we go bowling still.

I'm already ready to flush the season on football and get it going with basketball. If we get Springer that'll be 3 5 stars in the class and maybe the number one class. Incredible.
Foosball only comes once a year. Ima savior this year win or lose. Watching Toots tear it up, Grey play video games on the field, JJ own the field, and all around see progress.

Also, not expecting a lot from bball this year. 2020 could be awesome though.

Here's the rub. I can handle losing as long as we play with passion. It still sucks and hurts like hell, but at least you know the players care. Game one, we had zero passion whatsoever. Game two, some players showed it, some did not. But when your starting QB shows no passion, why the hell do you leave him out there? If anyone on the team should be the leader, it's the QB. I've seen zero heart from JG in either game. Does he even give a damn about this program? The only way this program rises from the ashes is players that buy into it. JG has shown me nothing.

Play the young guys now. Even if it doesn't pan out this year, we go into next year with more game experience. Part of the woes of our DL is lack of game experience.

I think the cagers could take a step back but I still expect them to be well coached, very well prepared, and will leave everything on the court. Not seeing much of that from thdd football team.

I wouldn't expect them to repeat last years success, but only because of lack of experience.
