I can not help but laugh at all the fire Pruitt threads And comments. It’s like we have not been paying attention the last 4 times we tried to hire a coach.
I do think a coach needs to be given time.
I do not think our current coach will win championships given that amount of time.
I most definitely think the university will botch the next hire just as bad as they have the last 4. We are going to suck this year and next. If we wait till the end of next year then maybe someone decent will take the job.....by accident.....because we won’t hire a good coach on purpose.

I sincerely wonder if he's got it in him to try another qb. When the announcers are pretty much saying jg sucks in a nice way, it's time for change.

A side footnote.
Y’all have heard me complain about my high school football team. We were a great program and ran off a great coach. The next coach slowly took the program down to 2 wins. The next coach (last year) got mercy ruled in every game. I was vocal about how things had to change over there. The new coach told me to wait that he had a process. Things were going to turn around. Yeah, sure they are buddy. You lost to Silverdale for the first time ever.
Anyway.......Boyd is 3-0 this year beating a ranked team last week. They now have more wins than the last 2 years combined.
Coaching matters.


Now back to the Vols.
Sadly I don’t think we know anything real about this coach till next year.
I said earlier there are 2 types of people..... last night CJP made mistakes but was clearly into the job. He is showing some signs of being a survivor. I hope that continues as his success is the fastest way back to relevance for our program.


But I digress

Run game looked to be headed in the right direction, defense looked good early but got worse as the night progressed probably due to depth. There, I found something to be neutral about

Gray is gonna be a beast i think. Running game would work better if we had a passing game.

Maybe we can follow the Bammer coaching search format, hire crappy coaches for several years and then get a Saban. 🙁

well we looked like a better team but JG still looks like a freshman QB. I'm so disappointed in him. I wanted him to turn the corner but it's obvious is stuck in the mud. We had like 8 opportunities in the red zone and frankly if Jennings hadn't saved our ass we might have lost by more.

On the positive side, the new guys look good and defense played better.

This is a great story. I’m sure y’all read it but the first good thing that our administration has done. Hope we beat Florida or he might have a rough time at school.

I’m pre-ordering one if I can ever get in.

It seems appropriate that proceeds go to an anti-bullying organization, since I think the Vols will be bullied on Saturdays for the foreseeable future.

I think UT is very similar to Nebraska and Texas. The rebuilds are similar. And even though both teams lost, you can see the progress in the programs.
Nebraska coach in year 2
Texas coach in year 3
