The Atlanta Braves

So we should have given Dooley or Butch more time? Because we fired them one year too late and it ended up in disaster.

He lost to ****ing Georgia State. He can get out of here. He’s not the guy and we all know it. Should we fire him today? Probably not. But if he’s 1-7 or loses to UAB **** him and get him out.

I don't know man but we're definitely running up into a definition-of-insanity problem. You dump Pruitt, you flush the roster again, you hire an offensive coordinator from East Bumfsck School for Calculator Repair. At some point your chances of getting back to at least mediocre are higher by just giving one of these possibly incompetent dudes time to build a program than they are by cycling coaches so often. If there's a new coach next year then that would be our sixth coach in 13 years. It's no wonder none of these guys have any idea what to do.

Do I get the logic of what you’re saying? Yes. But even Dooley was beating the Cincinnati/NC State and non power 5 teams of the world. Pruitts defense can’t line up right. We took 4 defensive timeouts tonight. FOUR! He’s a defensive coach!!!

I’m tired of giving the guy the extra year. We need to be proactive. Will a new guy change things? Probably not. But I’m so tired of keeping a lame duck.

And who the hell knows maybe promoting Tee and let him be a Dabo-lite will work, I’m literally willing to try anything.

We literally have people posting threads “Hey at least the effort and passion was there tonight!” ITS YEAR TWO AND THATS THE POSITIVE WE CAN TAKE AWAY?!?!

My guess is that the whole scheme more or less relied on Bituli being able to get everybody lined up and without him being in there it's collapsed. Either that or Ainsley has really come in and taken a shlt in the punchbowl. I don't remember them having these problems last year.

I'd be all right with dumping Pruitt and letting Tee figure out the job, but at that point it should be a long term play where you hire him and walk away for five years. We can't keep doing this.

That’s still really bad. I mean man that’s just awful. And yes Ansley is terrible.

Also BYU isn’t good. It shouldn’t have been close honestly.

And I’m just done with Pruitt. I was in on him but these last two weeks have been so disastrous I have abandoned all hope (enter comments about how I always hate every coach ever)

I definitely had myself completely talked into the pirate for the 12 hours that it looked like it might happen. At least it would have been something different.

I'm with you. At some point, sometime we HAVE to settle on one of these guys and give them the time to rebuild. It's going to suck and it's going to be painful as hell but no top tier coach is coming here and even a good mid tier coach can't un**** that 10+ years of the absolutely toxic losing culture that has been ingrained here in 3 years. It might as well be Pruitt.

It’s 4:20 am and all of you are asleep but holy hell did Chris Petersen just have some absolutely terrible clock management.

> all of you

:(

What happened?

Cal got it inside the 5 and gets a first down with about a 1:20 to go and Washington has all 3 TO’s. Petersen doesn’t call TO. That’s his first mistake They get it down to 39 seconds and he calls the first TO. They then call the second TO with about 30 seconds. So Cal gets stuffed at the half yard line but clock stops at 20 seconds and it’s reviewed. No TD and fourth down.

Clock starts when the refs blows the whistle. EIGHT SECONDS go by and Petersen finally calls TO to try and ice a kicker from 17 yards.

It was terrible.

lol damn...that is pretty egregious.

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this lol but does anyone have any experience playing in an FFL with a punter? If so, got any tips? The league manager in another league I'm in added the position like...15 minutes prior to drafting and from what I can tell, its pretty rare with not much intel out there about it.
