I usually am only a reader of this site because you guys entertain me to no end. But here is my extremely rare post. The team played good tonight outside of one man and one blown coverge by AT. The facts are though that if we had at the least a serviceable QB we are 2-0 and probably in the grand scheme a 7 to 8 win team. For the ones calling for a coaching change you are crazy it’s not the coaches, you can only do so much with a QB like JG. The defense minus JG throwing a pick in our own territory, pitched a near shutout. We aren’t great but it’s painfully obvious JG is the weak link on this team. And if by Chance we were to fire Pruitt and company we would be unbelievably lucky to land a coach the caliber of Meyer he may have baggage but he will always win regardless of what people think of him personally. But regardless this team will continue to lose to most opponents as long as JG is taking snaps that became painfully obvious tonight.

So I was at at party and didn’t get to watch, just score updates. Recap?
AT got lost in cover 3 with 17 seconds to give up a 70 yard play and BYU tied it and kicked in OT. Defense played well but was gassed. JG missed open receivers and threw wild all night. Coaches lost faith in him in the second half.

I still can’t understand how anyone who watched this game could say this was on coaches out side of maybe a 50/50 decision to go for it on a 4th down.

The team was night and day different from last week outside of JG and a huge busted play by AT.
Coaches develop players. The players do not play like they've been developed enough to play at even a low level competition.

I saw a good deal of improvement at key positions tonight minus the one that matters the most. This is not on the ability of the coaches, its on the ability of the guy making reads and passes. #checkdownJG

They choose to continue playing him. It's up to them to develop him. If it were me, I'd go with somebody else. He's obviously at his ceiling.

He was originally set up deeper than he ended up. Watch the tape, he came back up closer to the line.
I think it was posted in the game thread, 26 came over and told him to move down. Taylor thought he had the under responsibility but both players went under. Its Taylors fault for not knowing he was supposed to go deep. But shouldn't the coaches be teaching them their assignments

Do you honestly think 2 of the best DB coaches in college football aren’t teaching them assignments? I mean come on, that doesn’t even make any sense.

On that play I will put this one point on Coaching, where was the prevent. At that point you have one job don’t allow the one play you did allow. I had a sickening feeling what happened was about to happen because we kept playing our dbs to close. It only takes one blown assignment.
