And yet no coach wanted the job after we fired Butch. Then if you fire another coach after 2 years they ain't coming without the chance for at least 4 years to rebuild they're not coming.

They're not coming regardless. Maybe next time hire a coach with experience, even if the experience comes from a lower level. I'm not saying fire him now, I'm saying he won't last the next two. Recruiting will tank and the next guy will have a empty cupboard.

I am not ruling out the Vols surprising some folks. I think the coaching staff is a good one. The want-to has just got to continue to build. Got to pick up those 4th and 1's. Glad to see Ty and EG having good games.

Ok. But the point wasnt about guys on te team now. If this thing goes 2-10 which is where its headed. You think were gettting Gilbert, Jarrett, McDaniel, Bailey. How about the year after that. Regression isnt going to get more of the grays and the guys you need to compete

Alontae blew it. JG was bad, but that falls on Alontae for the game breaker

Our strength and experience is on the offensive side of the ball. We should be able to score against most teams especially the first two we just played anytime we want to. Just didn't happen that way, the o-line play better, the receivers played better, the running backs played better, the only position on offense that we didn't play better was quarterback. If our defense held the other team to 16 points in regulation how are we not supposed to beat that team. I agree alonte let 1 get by, but it should have never been that close at that point in the game. Our quarterback has regressed in his skills obviously. Hope he gets better because I fear this is what we're stuck with for the rest of the year. Go Vols! I think I'll just drink the pain away.
