Here's why I say don't put a freshman in.

1. We're 0-2 and likely this season is going to be bad...so why potentially burn a redshirt for Brian, and JT may not be better
2. Young OL will benefit more from a QB who at least knows the offense well enough to put them in the right protections
3. Young OL will likely give up some sacks to stiffer competition, I'd rather JG take those lumps (bad as it sounds) than a young QB who could essentially lose some of his confidence and health from getting smacked too much too soon
1. Because every single win matters for Pruitt’s career now. His clock started last week, and was probably accelerated this week. He is not in a position to be cavalier with wins at the expense of 4 years from now.

Guys the season is lost.... it doesn’t matter who replaces JG this 0-2 start set us back who knows how long... we won’t be able to recruit a 1-7 start.... it won’t happen. This is way worse than a QB fix. This hurts us in December and February when hell even decent teams come for our recruits. You don’t win with bad recruiting classes.

The lack of communication.
The constant Defensive misalignments.
The personnel packages and usage.
Going Empty set w/ a QB who can’t make quick reads
All of The short yardage play calls.
The 3 man rushes on BYU last drive
ESPECIALLY after the one guy who can get to the QB is forced off the field with an injury.
That’s just tonight.

It cant be ruled out that he is a good coach. Give him time and he might be. Can him and I guarantee we hire someone worse.
I never said he wasn't but it doesnt matter if he cant bring in talent. Coaching can only take us so far. Bring in someone to stack the shelves then you could get almost anybody

Alontae blew it. JG was bad, but that falls on Alontae for the game breaker

Not saying Alontae deserves a pass. He blew his coverage and the safety wift on his tackle. So not just Alontae on that play. But, JG's first TD shouldn't be on his stat sheet. It was tipped and thrown WIDELY to the left of JJ who just so happened to catch it miraculously. He threw into triple coverage at least 5 times tonight with other options available. He held on to the ball and threw too late on 2 other should-have-been TD catches that if he would have thrown earlier would have been good (McElroy talked about it all game). Waaaaay too many more plays that JG screwed up that way outweighs Alontae's who actually shares blame on that one play.

JG lost this game for the rest of the team.
