After rewatch:
Reasons for hope:
Not many, but effort was definitely lacking. You have to think this team will give more effort tomorrow night.
OL actually had a decent performance. Need more push in the run game, but they protected JG fine.
Receivers and backs are still really good
Some of defenses problems were confusion. Surely they can learn and do better going forward.
Reasons for anxiety:
We got manhandled by their OL. They were way more physical than our guys. That’s not something that changes in a week. Our guys just aren’t very good at that position, and to top it off, they aren’t physical at the point of attack.
JG is not good. He’s not a leader on this team, and he cannot win at a high level. Struggled with some stuff as he always has: can’t see the field, can’t read a defense, holds the ball too long.
That’s all I got. Nothing new or earth shattering I know
don't ever watch that game again. never. never ever. After rewatch:

He's not going to war, he's playing a game. I get it, we all love Volunteer football, but at the end of the day there are far more important things. Our lives, the lives of our loved ones, so many more important things. I don't like what he said, but I'm also able to put perspective on it. In the last few years I've lost my dad, survived a liver transplant, broken my back, and just had a stent put in my heart. And that's not even the whole list. Believe me, I was looking forward to the season to cheer me up, because I need something to cheer me up. And it didn't happen. But in the grand scheme of things, getting pissed at a kid's tweet without fully understanding his motivation and intention isn't even a blip on the radar. If that's the only thing anyone has to bitch about, they're damn lucky. No offense brother because I obviously never met you and only know anything about you through comments, just like pretty much everyone on here, so I'm not attacking you. However I feel like the "no big deal" is what's wrong with this team and to some degree the society we currently live in. You're exactly right, he didn't do any of the things you listed. But he disrespected his university, the coaches, and more importantly his teammates. The guys hes supposed to be willing to go to war with.
That's a big deal.
