I’m not so sure on that one. On rewatch I thought that was a pretty well disguised and delayed CB blitz. Not able to check the tape right now but that’s how I remember it. You’d still expect him to feel it coming. He had no clue
I might be wrong on that, but yeah, he still should’ve seen him coming

I’m saying JG could have seen it presnap, but didn’t
That's what I mean. How does he see it presnap when the guy is hips to hips to his defender? Watch it presnap and find one thing that could have tipped him off. There's nothing.

After rewatch:
Reasons for hope:
Not many, but effort was definitely lacking. You have to think this team will give more effort tomorrow night.
OL actually had a decent performance. Need more push in the run game, but they protected JG fine.
Receivers and backs are still really good
Some of defenses problems were confusion. Surely they can learn and do better going forward.

Reasons for anxiety:
We got manhandled by their OL. They were way more physical than our guys. That’s not something that changes in a week. Our guys just aren’t very good at that position, and to top it off, they aren’t physical at the point of attack.
JG is not good. He’s not a leader on this team, and he cannot win at a high level. Struggled with some stuff as he always has: can’t see the field, can’t read a defense, holds the ball too long.

That’s all I got. Nothing new or earth shattering I know

I thought I saw him inching towards JG before snap but I rewound it and he did not do that. But still. He held the ball 4 seconds before he got there. He had plenty of time to see him coming

Sitting here today recovering from a M.I. (heart attack) that came on suddenly early Tuesday am. My wife drove me to ER here and then I went by ambulance to Alamogordo hospital, 60 miles away. The medical team was all there waiting for me when we arrived. The procedure was amazing - no cutting any more, tubes installed through the artery in my right arm all the way to my heart. Three stents installed through this one tube - while I'm conscious the entire time! Procedure was probably less than an hour, medical team was incredibly efficient, excellent health care. Released from ICU Thursday am, only 29 hours after my operation!

I'm thinking of changing my name to Lazarus - surviving prostate cancer in 2016 and now this. I can use any prayers that I can get from my VN brothers and sisters for a quick recovery. Thanks in advance and GO VOLS!
😘

So he's going to dial up a long pass play...but look over his shoulder every time first? C'mon...It was just a really well disguised play and bad timing we happened to be going deep at the same time. I think the only thing anyone could have done differently is if the slot on the bottom had chipped the blitzer.

I feel like it's a no-win scenario this weekend.

Win the game, and I'll be even more upset that they didn't take care of business last week.

Lose the game, and I'll be even more upset that they're now 0-2.

I know, I know. It's better to be only mad about last week. I guess a win at least helps wash the mouth out.

Uh, JG could’ve seen him coming. He still has 0 pocket awareness

Just more examples of posters thinking they know what their mind is telling them their eyes are seeing

We need to stop acting like we know the qb position so well around here
