Agree. Dont worry about giving up the big play so much. Blitz the hell out of them and out hit them for 60 minutes. Put them on their heels. At the very least would provide a little fire for the D. The couple big plays you give up would more than be made up for by a couple of sacks and turnovers forcedIt is pretty unbelievable that this is where we are, but unfortunately, i'm not surprised. If we're being real about it, we have exactly one proven pass rusher in DT and even he has yet to take that next step and show it every single game. He flashes, but the hope was always that this season he would take that step into being consistenly able to get to the QB. Not off to an ideal start.
Need to develop some young guys and scheme something up to help. Can't wait for the time we are able to just line up normal against teams and just straight bring pressure without exotic blitz packages. Smh.
Makes no sense. "taking on the personality" but if you've ever played at all, that's bs.Exactly. And really there’s no excuse for Taylor. This is a money year for him for one, but 2, he’s a dang captain. He’s supposed to be a leader on this team. If I’m JJ, I’m starting with him when I fuss at the team. Unbelievable lack of effort in a losing performance from him
His team was complete dog s**tThat’s been known.just like you preach “JG is just one man” so is Brian.JG set zero records in high school.Brian broke them while establishing his own.
Watching closely, the majority of the DL are hustling on most plays. DT? Nope.Makes no sense. I'm sure Hank gonna pop in with the "taking on the personality" but if you've ever played at all, that's bs.
Coach can have an impact but when you get popped in the mouth, you either get mad and fight back, or you don't. Nobody can take that out of you, it's a core reaction. You either have it or you don't.
JG not seeing that corner blitz in the 4th quarter might have costed us the game. We were moving the ball. There was some juice out there with JJ and Palmer. But our 4th year QB is still doing what he did in year 1. Corner does not hide his blitz but JG never sees or feels him. Holds the ball and gets hammered.
Shrout and Maurer must be awful in practice.
Or JG is all world in practice. I choose to believe this. Also, the slide was when GAST won the gameJG not seeing that corner blitz in the 4th quarter might have costed us the game.
