Agree. Dont worry about giving up the big play so much. Blitz the hell out of them and out hit them for 60 minutes. Put them on their heels. At the very least would provide a little fire for the D. The couple big plays you give up would more than be made up for by a couple of sacks and turnovers forced

Makes no sense. "taking on the personality" but if you've ever played at all, that's bs.

Coach can have an impact but when you get popped in the mouth, you either get mad and fight back, or you don't. Nobody can take that out of you, it's a core reaction. You either have it or you don't.

Oh I know that. I am just laughing at will to win. He played great. "Will to win" is pure hogwash. Just like "learning how to win". You either execute and help your team win or you don't. Can't will the defense to play any better and that's why his team was still 2-8.

JG not seeing that corner blitz in the 4th quarter might have costed us the game. We were moving the ball. There was some juice out there with JJ and Palmer. But our 4th year QB is still doing what he did in year 1. Corner does not hide his blitz but JG never sees or feels him. Holds the ball and gets hammered.

Shrout and Maurer must be awful in practice.

Watching closely, the majority of the DL are hustling on most plays. DT? Nope.

The fumble play? That was hid beautifully. His eyes were still on his man when the ball hits JG's hands. Pause it right there.

This brings back memories for me. The Honky Tonk Man in this video was an assistant coach 4 Kingsbury Junior High football team before he became The Honky Tonk Man.

Or JG is all world in practice. I choose to believe this. Also, the slide was when GAST won the game

I’m not so sure on that one. On rewatch I thought that was a pretty well disguised and delayed CB blitz. Not able to check the tape right now but that’s how I remember it. You’d still expect him to feel it coming. He had no clue
