I think it hit Fuqua first. I loved three raiders at the time and that play forever sealed my abject hatred of the Steelers.

I was all ready to type out an opposing argument about trajectory and angle and rebound force and blah blah blah but that’s been argued out ad infinitum for decades without resolution. That’s part of the magic of the play, I guess.

Honestly what do South Carolina fans expect? They go bowling every year. Occasionally have a decent season.
i'd imagine they're looking around the East and saying "ok, TN sucks, and we're competiing w/Florida, why aren't WE the 2nd best team in this division yet?"

they've had a taste of real success.....they want it back.

meanwhile in Knoxville....

They expected the good Spurrier years going forward.
Meh even during his good seasons they were decent. Did they play for SECCG (serious question because I tend to blackout at end of seasons over past say 10-11 years. I can’t put my finger on why that is. Anyway...)? They should know they are a 7 win program with occasional 8-10 season.

They have not played in SECCG

In all seriousness, if Vols do not play in SECCG I rarely watch the game. So I have missed a bunch

the SECCG seems so unattainable right now. sigh. I literally just want us to win more than we lose at this point.

I asked this yesterday without much discussion but it seems relevant. Crompton was a qb that had way more criticism heading his way after the UCLA game than JG does now.

I know a lot of folks credit Lane for turning him into a very respectable QB but just how involved was Chaney in that good Turn around??
I don't think anybody knows. I suspect it was Kiffin more than anything. I thought it was telling when he didn't take him with him to USC.
