Can’t ignore his history.I'm going have to log off for a while. Pruitt has said repeatedly practice hasn't been a problem. Doug Matthews said Saturday was 98% on the coaches. Brent Hubbs, Pat Ryan. Jeff Francis, and Erik Ainge have said similar things. Doug was adamant in his defense of the players yesterday on 180. He insinuated Jauan Jennings was more of a man than Jeremy Pruitt for the way he handled the situation. Pruitt is slight of hand throwing his team under the bus because he's a pussy and can't handle the heat he's brought down on himself. And a lot of folks on here seem to be buying his BS.
Everybody I’ve listened to both “inside” and outside the program has to one degree or another really trashed the coaching effort last week. I’m not sure Jeremy thinks it was wrong. I think Fulmer thinks it was wrong and I think there a lot of players on our team who think it was wrong. I damn sure think it was wrong.
Here’s where I think our problem would be. We think we know Jeremy had issues with some bigwhig at Alabama, such that according to our “respected” source he would never be allowed to take the head job there, regardless of whether or not he was successful here or elsewhere. I’ve always surmised that he HAD to leave Florida State after only one year and then the stories that we didn’t want to believe about his stint at Georgia sort of indicate a pattern of behavior. He’s often described as extremely arrogant, among other things.
We have people here who tell us that we can’t afford for him to fail, literally can’t afford it, and that’s probably not just about the money involved. They say that we have people at UT that are working behind the scenes to try to fix the things that became even more apparent last Saturday. But what if he tells Fulmer to FO? What if he tells Charlie Anderson to FO?
I'll see you guys later. I get too angry to stay on here when our players are getting trashed because of the failure of their head coach.
And that’s whats so frustrating. “We”, meaning the fans, don’t expect to win anymore. We really don’t. We know we suck.I'm to the point that I know we are a trash team but I just want to see some heart out there. Some passion.
thought about that yesterday actually.Someone needs to get in Tee’s ear and let him know he’s about to be more closely watched than at any point in his career. If he steps up he can get his shot
If the Pruitt hire goes to hell, the uproar from VFLs if Tee doesn’t get his shot will be outrageous. 90% of them pushed for Tee last go around. It’ll be even more so know that he’s back on campus and knows this team and it’s players already. No shot imo. He didn’t even get a sniff before from Fulmer. That isn’t changing
They have literally broke Chatt. I thought I would have never saw the day.I'm going have to log off for a while. Pruitt has said repeatedly practice hasn't been a problem. maybe not. but play out that whole situation/circumstance....firing CJP during or at the end of year 2, with another buyout to pay, and yet another dumpster fire on your hands with a coaching search.Tee Martin will not be considered if things go further south with Pruitt.
JMO, Im not a wizard
When I look at your list, VFL isn't what jumps out as missing. If the Pruitt hire goes to hell, the uproar from VFLs if Tee doesn’t get his shot will be outrageous.
We’ve tried young brash outsider (Kiffin), get back to our culture fundamentals (Dooley), gimmicky offense small school winner (Butch), and now Saban disciple (Pruitt). The only thing we haven’t tried is to close ranks and hire a VFL.

But talent has nothing to do with playing hard nor does it have an effect on unit cohesion. These guys should be playing hard and be playing together in year 2 if your coaching staff is worth a damn.
I agree mostly, but it can be someone who isn’t the rockstar but has shown a modicum of success at a P5 school. Not your guys or a Peterson, Leach, Fitzgerald (we aren’t going to get them now), but maybe a Mendenhall or Rhule type.If Pruitt era goes bad TN MUST hire a proven successful coach with head coaching experience. 4 coaches in a row didnt work out. NO CHANCES can be taken. Bring in Freeze, Meyer, or Bob Stoops.
