I'm not gonna argue with you about this. What he did was wrong, and I have seen absolutely nothing from him saying he is sorry. He condemned himself with his actions, and then doubled down. It is absolutely easy for me to forgive people that sincerely repent. If you have seen any remorse whatsoever from him, then I will gladly accept it.
He made a poor choice and retweeted a bad joke. He didn't hit his gf. He hasn't been accused of raping anyone. He didn't fail a drug test. Basically, he just said something dumb. Put that into perspective.

One loss?...

Come on man..it is the worst, most humiliating loss in program history...

That was not just a loss, and you know it. Anybody that is still a fan after the garbage effort we have had foisted on us for the last 10 years does not deserve to be kicked...people are losing their minds because this is humiliating. I haven't said anything about Murphy, but I will now...he deserves what be brought on himself.
Haven't said much either but I will now also. He didn't make "one" mistake.
Every single thing we've seen suggests he was in the doghouse already for something.
Then he added to it with the Twitter comment.

The reaction and national coverage should have ended it there for anyone. But no, he has to jump on Instagram, after having time to gather his thoughts and intentionally make it worse.

That's not "A" mistake, it's a pattern. Hope he works it out but there was never going to be a different reaction/outcome than the one he pushed for and received.

And I am capable of forgiving even multiple mistakes. But he sure seemed to be laughing pretty hard for someone just making an "oops".

Dang, I forgot. He had actually made a comment earlier on Twitter also and then claimed he was talking about something else, didn't he?
Something about fans shouldn't care about it or something like that?

Forgot all about that one. He was really going for it wasn't he..

I would bet you a large sum of money this isnt about one single thing. I would almost guarantee you this wasnt the first mistake the kid made. For the 10% that fans know there is another 90 that stays behind closed doors.

Don't get this breakdown. What 3 or 4? I count 30 completed plays to Chandler, Gray, JJ, Callaway out of 56 completed plays. Over half. Didn't analyze attempted passes to various targets. Did Doug or is he just making a crap argument by adding in incomplete passes while disregarding targets?

He counted Chandler, JJ, Callaway, and DWA as guys he expected to get a majority of targets I think? He did not include Gray since first game. We ran 61 plays i’m seeing. It was clear Doug wants to feed JJ and Chandler. Basically why is there a play in the play boom for Pope, Keyron, Jordan, and Tillman lol.

If it makes you feel any better, your avi change won the day. Sorry fellas. 🤷‍♀️.

That’s all we know. For the most part coaches keep other discretions private for for the sake of the reputation of the player . I’m sure it has been more and that tweet pushed it over the edge. CJP coming out saying Murphy decided to leave on his own was to save face for the player. But we all know he was probably asked to leave.

@Weezer Chargervol says it here better than me. I never said he raped anyone. He WAS on a TEAM...that is/was supposed to mean something...kid is a moron period. This is about football, not rape.

I absolutely say let’s line up JJ at QB.

I can guarantee it won’t be worse.

That kids a fighter. He is a winner.

He has heart.
I’ll never get over the way you post. It’s like you read too much Shel Silverstein as a kid. This is a football message board not a poetry slam! Lol

As a kid I was introduced to Tennessee football and Chattanooga basketball by my Dad. We had season tickets for both, plus tickets to the Vols game in Birmingham every year.

The head coach of Chattanooga football this year is Rusty Wright. He’s an alum of the school and played TE here during his playing days. This is his first HC gig. He spent the last 2 years as the ILB coach, ST coordinator, and recruiting coordinator for Sean Elliott at Georgia State. Yes, that Sean Elliott and that Georgia State. In 2017, his first year at GSU, the panthers went bowling at Camping World Stadium in Orlando (same field as Miami vs UF game this year) and beat WKU 27-17.

In Rusty’s first game at the helm for the Mocs he scored a victory over Eastern Illinois, 24-10, even though his QB threw 2 interceptions and his team was penalized 11 times for 119 yards. They lost time of possession by almost 10 minutes, 34:19 to 25:41. They only had 14 first downs while allowing 23 for EIU. He didn’t need a single one of those excuses because they didn’t matter. He won the game.

In 10 days Rusty will be bringing his Moccasins to Rocky Top but this Saturday he’s taking his team on the road to face Jacksonville State, a team which lost its season opener on the road last week to Southeastern Louisiana, 14-35. The Mocs could be on a roll. I have to tell you guys, and I know this probably is not going to be well received, my Dad took me to almost every home basketball game that UTC had. I’ve traveled to watch them in tournament play, including to face Louisville at Louisville. On Wednesday nights my Dad and I would slip out of Church early just to make it to the arena here to catch as much of the game as we could. It was that important.

While I expect the score of their game with us to be similar to our game with ETSU last year, if by some stroke of heaven Rusty’s boys pull this off, there’s a lot of people around me, family and friends, who are going to want to go to the party.

WTH am I going to do?

It would be sort of like an Archie Manning moment. I guess I could go to the party and wear my Ty Chandler jersey. Of course it would be my luck that Ty fumbled the ball on the most critical play of the game which handed victory to the Mocs. I’ll try to make sure if the unthinkable happens and I do end up at a party like that, I’ll orchestrate it so that it will be impossible for me to have any fun. I hope you guys will try to be understanding of my predicament. The best thing anyone could do to help me out is to do whatever you can to make damn sure we don’t lose to Chattanooga.
