That’s surprising - but I guess it’s a view of what the opinion of Pruitt is nationally.

I think it’s more he knows what fan base gets riled up the easiest. Any attention is good attention, whether it’s positive or negative.

I'll say it again, any fan still around can react however they want. Fans have actually earned that right after the last decade. I don't agree with the buyout talk and what not, but whatever. Doug and the press that is placing any blame on the fans in anyway needs to STFU and GTFO. The Knoxville press is part of the problem anyway.

I'd say anyone creating negativity and drama DURING THE DANG SEASON is part of the problem. This includes SOME fans, SOME media, SOME players. There is blame to go around and bad apples everywhere. Not sure Doug is one of them, but Hyams, the VQ goons, fans tweeting garbage at players and badmouthing "their team" 1 game in, Jordan Murphy types, etc all need to all gtfo.

All push in one direction or take a lap and come back after the season. Don't need ANYONE dragging this program down any further.

We -know- Jordan Murphy did what he did on a very large scale platform (or two) where a large amount of witnesses saw.
We don't -know- anything for certain about the Bryce Thompson incident. And to be fair it's not like BT is actually getting a pass or anything, granted fan opinions vary on the right course of action.

If anything this highlights to me at least how unlikely it is that things Bryce did and/or said really happened as alleged, because I just have a hard time NO ONE was "live tweeting" or recording or something.

Knoxville hasn't been scruffy for a while. It's now pretty well known as an eclectic and hip little city -- sorta like a baby version of Seattle back in the day.

Its a systemic problem that radiates from the top is my point, all the way down to the players. There isn't one shred of evidence, especially when compared to peers in conference, that this university has cared...really cared...about winning championships. If the boss doesn't care, eventually neither will the workers.

You cannot be serious. Big Phil in 18 months has let go of Holly, gave Barnes an offer he couldn't refuse, and has given Pruitt absolutely everything he needs to be successful. Probably had a big something to do with reeling in Tee as well. Fulmer has proven his commitment to big time winning with not just his words but his actions.
