Must have been all those taxes she pays.

But who's going to enforce this proposed social media ban that y'all are advocating? I just don't think there's any way to police it. Pruitt's full-time job was to have his team ready to annihilate the worst team in the Sun Belt conference, and he couldn't get it done. You think he's got extra time to see to it that none of the players are on social media? Such a f***ing sh!t show.

SIDS and all Of the support staff monitors twitter. It’s easy

You can’t have that mindset, that attitude, in the locker room. It was clear that he didn’t care. He was mocking Tennessee football. You okay with that?

I wish him well also and hope he ends up being a CEO or whatever he wants. But his attitude needs a lot of work and he paid the price. Hopefully he takes that lesson and turns it into a positive experience.
The locker room is the place where that attitude should have been fixed. Proper leadership in the locker room would have nipped it in the bud. But at this point, it's over. CJP made a decision and I support that. He has to do whatever he thinks best for the team.

Doesn't make me any less sympathetic to the young man. We've had players do far worse, yet welcomed them back with open arms. I hope he gets it together.

Jauan is our last hope we have to lite a fire under these younger guys ass and I think that’s the issue.these kids coming in here now, only know what this university is Today we haven’t been winning for a while and definitely Not what it used to be.They just have no clue what they are going out there to play for.

For years these kids have been given a easy ride at our expense Free food,Education,Clothing Apparel and travel, that’s not even including what’s given to them when they decide to make a
ā€œBowl Appearanceā€.

This generation and the kids coming in have a lot of attitude and guidance problems.thats why I think this is a emergency call to have all Alumni (Former players) (VFL’s) surround these kids and show them the way.when old folks walk into a room the younger generation listens.i personally think they all need a Albert Haynesworth,John Henderson,Big Al Wilson ass bustin and then send em up to the ā€œPreacherā€ Reggie White and have him cleanse them out back.Ive had enough.im tired of losing.this is the way.surround these boys with the greats and dare em to question them on how to play the damn game.

Sending them to Reggie White may pose a problem.

I guess you never screwed up when you were young? The young man did something stupid. He's paying for it in a big way. Not sure where anyone on this board gets off judging the young man. Hell, everyone on this board bitches about players quitting in the game, but one loss, and how many on here have lost their minds and started bitching about quitting on this coach and this program themselves? Jordan Murphy has had a tough enough life without keyboard cowboys passing judgement on him. Just let it go. Personally, I wish the kid well and sincerely hope he gets his life together. There's already enough real tragedy in this world without adding to it.

That's exactly what fans do though...even if we had won there would still be people losing their mind bitching and moaning. The absolute worse thing any player of any sport at any level can ever to is empower the fans through social media by poking them OR responding to their irrational outrage.

It's clear that Jordan had issues prior to this "one mistake" because he chose to act out via his social media platform (more than once) despite or in the face of backlash. And now he's decided to leave the program (quit the team basically) at the first sign of adversity, I hope him the best moving forward but if you're not willing to own up to your mistakes and face the consequences you probably will always find someone else to blame for your failures in life.

This tweet from Shamburger is very different Than Murphy’s imo. We act like we expect kids to turn the other cheek time and time again and then we get mad when they defend their teammates. I wish he didn’t tweet that but I damn sure understand why he did it

So everyone sees it. Maybe the best post of his lifetime.

Interesting takes, these. A lot of folks seem to be celebrating Murphy being gone for something relatively minuscule. Last week, a lot of folks seemed to downplay actions by a player criminally charged and are ready to have him back on the team.

Boom.

Have I missed anything important today? We still getting our a$$ beat this Saturday or did we sneak in some transfers from Alabama?

Although I don't expect it at all, it wouldn't entirely floor me if we stepped up and kicked the crap out of BYU.

Funny thing, though, even if we did and then did the same to Chatt, it would still leave the Florida trip an absolute mystery. Not so much of whether we win but how we likely compete.
