Chaney was also an Oline coach. Maybe Friend is the problem, maybe the problem is we just don’t have the SEC ready talent?

Phil was doing some under the table OL coaching last year and we had to report it. Make him an actual OL coach, it was his strongest suit by far in regards to actual coaching.

OL Coach Friend's biggest mistake was going into the game thinking it was going to be a cakewalk. He was substituting / rotating guys in non-stop. There was no continuity whatsoever.

I suspect he got an earful from Pruitt. BYU will be on the receiving end of our wrath this Saturday.

Highly doubt it. I think what we saw saturday is what we got.

This.......I dont remember who posted it as there have been 2 million threads since the loss. But I stumbled on a Hounddogs video podcast that had Eric Westmoreland, Billy Ratliff, and Fred White talking about the game and this was the very first thing they harped on.....the constant rotation that didnt allow guys to get in a rythym. I never played on an SEC team or on a football O or D-lines but I remember Fred White and Billy Ratliff as bad azzes and I'll take their word for it. Second thing they threw out was not caring. Said had that been a Spencer Riley or Haynesworth they would have already had several penatlies because of how mean they are and just the want-to when they're on the field. I think they should bring back some of these guys (Al Wilson, John Henderson, etc and let them full pad scrimmage against these millenial pansies.)

Evidently we don’t have Sun Belt ready talent either.

Seriously though, I don’t think WF is an SEC caliber OL coach. He can’t coach guys up.

We have three 5 stars to work with in that offensive line. Even the 2 freshmen should be able to block GA St straight out of high school.

Friend is another bad hire. Apparently he does not teach anything and it shows on the field.

Again Chaney is a former Oline coach as well. Maybe both Chaney and Friend forgot how to coach Oline. Maybe we’re too dependent on 18 and 19 yo freshmen.

Pittman got hated on by many on this board when he was here too. For me, the jury is still out on Friend, but we hate whoever we have.

We rotated 9 olinemen in the game, in what is the dumbest attempt to find a starting 5 linemen that I've ever seen, but in spite of that idiocy, according to Pruitt, we ran 55 plays with that rotation before Georgia State was able to get a sack or even any real pressure.

The buck stops with JC when it comes to the offense. WF is most likely part of the problem but ultimately it was the responsibility of JC to devise a game plan to beat GA ST which he failed to successfully do. I know we have a lot of coaches that are well thought of and respected throughout the coaching ranks, however they all sh!t the bed against GA ST. this past Saturday.
