The good about Maurer
- he’s a gunslinger. In game action you’ll wonder how he fit the ball in such a small place. (See “The opening” highlights or otherwise)
- give him a lane and he won’t hesitate to show his speed (4.5)
- strong arm and accurate from the pocket
- equally as effective throwing on the run
- very fast through his progressions if he knows the play well.
- has touch
- ability to throw accurately from “off platform”
- extremely hard to defend and his playing style will spread the loaded boxes we see against JG and our running game.

My opinion of NFL comparison is Aaron Rodgers. Exact same playing style.

Why is he on the bench?...Get his rear end out there and let him grow into the role and become Tennessee's next good QB...Seems like a waste keeping that talent on the bench.

If you’re asking my opinion I’d bet the farm that it’s his gunslinger mentality. Pruitt is a defensive mind and is afraid of the turnovers that’ll come with his growing pains.

I say let the kid learn from his mistakes...If he's smart he will...I say at least give him a chance...Can't be any worse than what we got starting now.

One thing I can guarantee is he’ll make the offense explosive and put asses in the stands. He’s fun to watch.

It's obvious we'll never win with Guarantana. His demeanor is not of a winner. Pruitt not finding a better option at QB or ever giving another player an opportunity is a further indictment on Pruitt. Attaching himself to a below average QB that he didn't even recruit is both odd and idiotic.

As DG pointed out, the difference between Pruitt recruits and Butch recruits was very noticeable. It's just a matter of time before those players cycle off or get replaced by the younger players. Just something that can't be rushed, but it will happen.

If you leave any trace of cancer it continues to grow. JG is cancer to this team. Butch recruits in bulk are cancer just cut them all and move on
