I think it starts with one of the young QBs. This team’s lack of attitude trickles down from JG. All successful college teams and QBs have some swagger at the position. We’ve got a stoic. Of course if it’s true what you say that Maurer and shrout can’t handle the job, I think were ****ed.

I think we’re ****ed anyway, but open to being proven wrong next week.

Lol, what?
I'm not questioning your source believes what he told you, or even knows.. but what are we basing knowing what happens elsewhere on?
I mean it's so common it happened to us twice in a row but it's too uncommon to happen elsewhere?
I was being literall that really doesn't make sense mathematically. I wasn't going after your source. Hope you understand.

McElwain carrying on about fictional death threats in public, can't even imagine what was said in private.

I'm thinking Pruitt and staff went into this game planning to rotate players as much as possible to learn what they have and what works. They stuck with that game plan too long and Georgia State was much better than expected.

Hopefully they find combinations that somewhat work, from studying game footage, and look much better prepared this weekend. I'm not writing this season off yet.

Simplest and probably most accurate explanation of what happened.

It was a perfect storm of:

-Not enough preparation for GSU
-Gameplan that involved tuning up the roster/determining which guys will start
-Players overlooking GSU and believing that, as a team, they would win easily, even if each individual player didn't give maximum effort
-GSU being better than expected
-Ansley struggling with more resistance than he expected and he/Pruitt being unable to fix the problem in-game

I'm coming down off the 1-11 thing. I still think we miss a bowl and it will be because of the GSU loss, but now I think 5-7 is in the cards. The East being terrible helps, but I think there's simply no way we're as bad as we looked on Saturday. It was like we played a mystery team that was unveiled to the players and coaches 30 minutes before kickoff, because they did virtually zero prep for them. Hopefully Pruitt learned his lesson. If he manages to stick around, I don't think we'll ever sleepwalk through a game like that again.

If Bailey stays committed I think we will be okay. At least with Bailey you have a QB that wants to win and has all the traits you want in a QB. Will he win us 10 games next year? Probably not, but at least he will take shots downfield, won’t hold the ball for 10 seconds, etc. I think once we get a winning attitude type QB in the system we will be okay.
Or I could be way wrong and be even more pissed next year.

Have a feeling I’m going to get even more pissed off.
Everyone will. We said under Jones "if he'd just take responsibility" but that's not really true.

Lose games you shouldn't and there is no acceptable response.
Except maybe "I suck but promise to stop" 😂😂😂

Honestly he’s in a no win spot with what he says. He’s going to piss off a lot of people no matter what he says

I don't think that's entirely true. I think he can hit a home run. I don't know that he will but I'm pulling for him. I want him to succeed and I think he has to grow a hell of a lot in order to do that. I'm still optimistic but I think everything starts with him. So we'll see.

We had the lead in a close game. Went into half time and came out worse than we started lol.

What does he need to say to hit a homerun today ?

all of the above. apparently we spent 3 days prepping for byu, Florida and UTC during game week. Brian reported it last week, ainge got mad at brian because that would be stupid and apparently it was true.
If true, prime example of overlooking an opponent. Makes me even more heated.

This is where I'm at as well, though I still think 6-6 is on the table. This looked like a team that prepped for Florida all week, minus a 30 minute walk through for Georgia State. We can't just walk on the field and win because our jerseys are Orange with a T on the helmet. You may be able to use a week like this to prep for a big opponent at Alabama, but we ain't nowhere close to that yet.

I still believe Pruitt is the guy. I still believe in this team. I’m not delusional. Yeah we lost, we lost to a team we should never lose to & I refuse to believe that our team is that bad. We are still undefeated in SEC play and that’s what matters right now. That team we saw Saturday is not the team we will see this weekend or the rest of the season. The players got a wake up call and I surely believe they’ll respond.
