None of those teams were playing an 11 year old team with a 2-10 record the previous year. You can chose to believe they will be alright all you want. You don't like my opinion that's alright. I don't agree with yours.
The problem is they didn't just get beat. They got pushed around on both sides of the ball. We got outplayed and out coached. We looked worse than we did in Pruitt's first year. In a year where most teams make their biggest improvement we looked worse. It's just more of the same thing we have seen the last 10 years.
Can they get it together? Maybe, but from what I've saw they don't want to.

Never said it was forgivable. But saying that nothing the team can do will make up for this is just as absurd as everyone saying the sky is falling.

BYU looked like crap, South Carolina looked like crap, Missouri looked like crap, Kentucky looked like crap, Vandy looked like crap. We looked like crap.

Is yesterday good? Absolutely not. Is it forgivable? No. If we give our poop together and win 6 games will it be a game we shake our heads at? Certainly.
Missouri and USCjr looked like crap. Kentucky and Vandy did not. Kentucky covered the spread and beat one of the better G5 teams who’s picked to win 10 games and won the game better than they did last season when they almost lost to 1-11 Central Michigan, that team is improved. Vandy fought hard and held Georgia for longer than they should’ve. We just suck bro get over it

If we come out with a fire and stomp BYU, we'll be fine. I'll choose to believe we made the grave mistake of prepping for Florida and taking this game for granted. If we come out and lay down you might as well get ready for the inevitable end. I'm curious to see how the players and coaches respond next Saturday. Will we show some damn pride or just feel sorry for ourselves? Hopefully this lights a damn fire under our ass.

For this season to be a success for me now with the Ga State loss....have to win no less than 8 games . That's not gonna happen so this season will be a failure in my eyes. 6-6 and 7-5 wont cut it for me now.

If this team wins 7 games it will go down as one of my favorite teams ever. Would be one hell of a comeback. None of us see it happening now it seems

He now has a cool story to tell his friends!🤦‍♂️

Wow..that looks ouchy 😳

One time my go-cart tie rod broke AND the gas pedal got stuck at the same time, also my brakes were already useless...anyways we had a huge blackberry patch at the end of the field behind our house and all of that happened just as I was swing close to the briar patch, and I drove straight into it about 10 feet before it got stopped, and that is exactly what I looked like, except I was scratched all over my face, neck and both arms..

I mean how many times did they run up the middle. They stayed out on the perimeter mostly all game. Not sure how much Simmons would have helped in that.

True. I don’t understand how the pitch man was never covered. Made no sense. I also don’t understand keep Burrell out there and not putting Kenneth George Jr. out in the perimeter who weighs more and can probably get off of a block.

When our coaching staff goes back and reviews the game, they are going to see who was doing it right and who wasn’t and I almost guarantee you those people won’t be playing. We definitely need Bryce Thompson back for BYU.

Either we didn't prep option and contain responsibilities, or we were severely misaligned and busted several assignments, or both. That falls on the staff either way.

Coming into the year, my biggest worry was the line of scrimmage (primarily d-line) and yesterday confirmed that worry was well founded. While we still shouldn’t have lost to Georgia state, Pruitt was dealt a really bad hand on this front. I’m not sure there’s anybody in the 2 deep on the DL that was on the roster under jones. While he’s brought in some juco and transfers as a stop gap until we can develop the younger guys, it’s really hard to win in college football with first and second year/juco guys on the LOS. There’s some pieces on the online that I feel like we can build around. Overall, I’m going to let the season play out and hope for 6-6. I still think we’ll see a sognificant jump next year if Pruitt can keep the players motivated, as we don’t lose any production along the LOS this year. Hopefully the fans can give him a fair shake.

They are going to feel very good about coming into Neyland and getting a win. If they bring their A game and we play uninterested and slow like yesterday, we will go winless this year because the wheels will fall off.
If we lose to BYU, Neyland will be a ghost town.. The fans are just done.

It's pretty clear. We got to ride with JG. Maybe he picks up the 1st down next time or, hits the high risk throw to win the game. Synergy is one thing, but blaming the defensive performance on him is another. A penetrating D-line stops that Panther option attack. The Vols are on film now.
