I'm guessing that Pruitt's failing is that he's so focused on micromanaging his assistants and the roster that he failed to actually create a cohesive team. He's not fulfilling the leadership role the way he's supposed to.

It's like we can't hire a complete coach. Fulmer was the last one we had but his failing was that he got kinda lazy towards the end. But he had everything else you need to be successful.

It was all pointing in the right direction after his first 2 years. We were hitting all of the check marks at the time. Some bad staff choices and poor S&C was the downfall.

That makes me sick to think about. Butch had a very very good chance to be successful here and did all the right things early on. His staff was full of SEC rejects and it didn't really matter because the team was united, at least in the beginning.

I don’t disagree with you, but if JG is really far and away our best QB...what to do? Jennings? Would we rather lose with guys who care more? Maybe.

Never thought about Jennings 👀 I forgot he played QB in high school 🤔 I just don’t know about that honestly,it would really depend on just how much of the playbook he knew from a “QB” stand point.kinda late to start that when the season just started ya know👀😩😭🤷🏽‍♂️ But good suggestion.

Remember how we competed for 4 quarters against a Bama team when they had Derrick Henry? I was proud of that Tennessee team. Hurd was headhunting that season. I remember thinking how close we were to being back. Good times.

It is the coach’s responsibility to get enough players swimming in one direction to be successful. The idea that half the roster doesn’t care is not a good excuse.

Where's the excuse? If players don't play hard and shrug off losing, and those players are put on the field, it affects the team and the outcome of the game. Most agree it starts with the HC, whose job description involves personnel management and game prep. Everybody needs to do their job.
