Top 10 class wouldn't matter anyway if they play with no passion. I would be interested to see what Ga St. avg recruit would rank. Very low 3 star on avg I would guess. Probably a lot of 2 stars and no stars to fill out the roster. I don't blame them for singing Rocky Top in Neyland. I would've been proud to beat a bunch of overhyped highly rated prima donnas too. Like it or not this is what we are until we prove otherwise. I think 247 has us as 14th most talented roster based on recruiting rankings. That's probably about right based on individual players. No excuse

If we lose to BYU and UTC, I think Pruitt gets axed after the trip to Gainesville and Fulmer takes over in an interim role. What's scary is that Fulmer will also get his brains beat in on a weekly basis, so he might not actually do it.
Maybe wait till after the Georgia and Bama game, then?

Because some of them aren't invested. They don't care enough. Either they're just marking time till they graduate or they're just not good enough and pissed about getting passed over or they just don't want to put in the effort. The coaches know who they are and so do the players.

Who was on instagram last night showing they were out having a party? I want to know please.

I don't even know what the hell a good coach looks like anymore.

Kiffin - knew Xs and Os, could motivate, but too brash and immature

Dooley - knew Xs and Os, could recruit and hire a staff (pre-2012), but too cerebral, aloof, and arrogant, couldn't really motivate

Jones - could recruit and motivate, but too insecure, stubborn, and ignorant about Xs and Os

Pruitt - maybe knows Xs and Os? maybe a good recruiter? can't really motivate? kinda dumb? probably a little aloof and arrogant?

Yeah but these are CJP players! JJ, Tyus, Ramel...how are they gonna be the future? Major red flags with this program.

I just keep coming back here looking for some sort of accountable quote from anyone that was responsible (coach/player/AD) for yesterday's debacle of a game.

Anyone who watched that game saw how unprepared and uninspired the Vols were. But from what I've seen to this point, the people in the locker room have discounted that narrative.

The fans are confused and bewildered as to how that could be the product placed on the field. Yet the organization is acting like it's just a regular L from a better or equally ranked opponent.

For the first time, I am genuinely embarrassed to wear our colors in public. I don't even want to talk about our football team to others because the negativity just piles on. I feel like this might be the end of my blindless love for our program. I just don't see how it can get better unless that game was just an overall outlier of what we truly are. Which no one believes to be true at this time.

💯Johnson was pathetic yesterday
That whole 2017 classes is pathetic other than Trey and Ty. Same goes for the 2016 and 2018 classes.
The only real talent we have on the team right now is from the 2019 class, I know it's hard to say that right now because only a few have played, but just watching Gray and Toot yesterday, looked like the have been in the program 3 years. I'm not excusing Pruitt for the loss, but the 3 other recruiting classes we have on campus aren't exactly great, and were not loaded with depth.

Mike Leach is the answer lol. Unpredictable!

I want Mike Leach.

The last 3 games we played there has been zero emotion or care or desire to win it seems.

This may have been the nail in the coffin for our program for a long time, I don't see us recovering from this unless a miracle happens and we go on a winning streak.

Unless we win a minimum of six games this year, our recruiting just died yesterday, and it won't be back until there is another coach at the top.

There is absolutely nothing to sell a recruit right now to come to UT.

Where was the passion and fire yesterday? We just rolled over.

I don't care at this point, bench JG and try someone new.

Very disturbed to hear about a divided locker room already with old players and Pruitt's players- sounds and looks like some of the coaching staff are looking for a way out.

Serious question--- is Les Miles still available?

Butch Jones players still the leaders of every position group except CB, TE, DL. Still need another season of turnover. Too many guys here who have learned to stomach this kinda humiliation.

QB has to be the next change.the leadership starts there.it starts with scoring and winning.the defense won’t go to war with you if the offense doesn’t even come close to scoring.3 straight plays in under 3 minutes also wears a already “thin” defensive line completely out.

It is the coach’s responsibility to get enough players swimming in one direction to be successful. The idea that half the roster doesn’t care is not a good excuse.

I don’t disagree with you, but if JG is really far and away our best QB...what to do? Jennings? Would we rather lose with guys who care more? Maybe.

Getting caught shamelessly paying players and setting up hooker and cocaine parties. Telling the NCAA to **** off and getting nuked for it. Something like that. This slow, painful death we have witnessed is just pathetic.
Then goes to coach at Jerry Falwell's school lol. If you made this up no one would believe you

A lot of us said last year that JG lacks moxie and were told to shut up. He is a leader that has no fire. You simply lose games with that. Bring me moxie from somewhere or this will continue. It feeds BOTH sides of the ball. It really is that simple.

Brian Maurer.dudes team completely sucked a$$ in high school.he won games by himself most of the time.he hates losing.give me his cocky pi$$ed off attitude any day over a 3 down loser that won’t throw past the 10 yard marker.
