Apparently, we still have a lack of effort and a divided locker room. When the HC and players say post-game that not all players played hard, there's a big problem with some players. Some guys gave up. Some guys don't seem to care enough. Some guys seem too used to losing. Some guys can't even line up right and don't seem to understand the simplest schemes. These are Year 1 problems in Year 2.

The fix starts above the HC. Fulmer's going to have to be more involved and some of the assistant coaches are going to have to step up. Because the HC is struggling and it's going to take others giving more to make up for it.
Any idea why players were out partying last night instead of locking themselves in the film room? No accountability? Seems like some of these guys are more interested in issued gear and social status than putting a respectable product on the field.

We need to play mostly freshmen and sophomores even at QB. We’ll take our lumps but have a reason for the losses and terrible play. Could keep recruits interested by seeing all the young guys on the field.

Next two games are must wins though. Maybe beat Miss St in Oct if guys can get better each game.

I don’t want to think about what happens if we lose to BYU and Chattanooga.

Here we go again 🙄😭😭 but I think you stated it yesterday.the roster has been half way turned over with Pruitts guys.whats the excuse going to be going forward?.Butch jones snowflake players are almost gone.👀🤷🏽‍♂️

How much did Calbert play yesterday? Seemed like Locklear got the most time at RG. Dude was beyond useless when he pulled. Lined up so far back that it was obvious what was coming and he usually whiffed on his man ice he pulled.

This piss poor effort is all on the coaching staff, esp Pruitt.

We got BYU and Chatt up next to get this ish straightened out before we go to UF.

We should get BT and Bituli back by then.

We saw flashes of what we can do as a team last year against Auburn and UK.

Still pissed about the game but we can bounce back nicely and get in a groove going into Gainesville.

I would much prefer we screw the pooch against GA state if that meant we learn and beat UF.

Because some of them aren't invested. They don't care enough. Either they're just marking time till they graduate or they're just not good enough and pissed about getting passed over or they just don't want to put in the effort. The coaches know who they are and so do the players.

If we lose to BYU and UTC, I think Pruitt gets axed after the trip to Gainesville and Fulmer takes over in an interim role. What's scary is that Fulmer will also get his brains beat in on a weekly basis, so he might not actually do it.

Then someone needs to grow a spine, cut their @sses, and give their schollies to walk-ons.

Do you know who they are? Not saying to name them but ...

Time to quit blaming Butch. Even Butch's players should beat that team yesterday. This is all on the coaching staff not developing the players, or totally overlooking a team in order to prepare for the next opponent.
I didn’t just blame Butch, but I don’t think it’s all on this coaching staff. Players and coaches sucked yesterday. When the HC for Georgia State literally admits that he thought they could win the LOS battle against us, then that’s a damning testimony about the state of our program and largely about the talent we are putting on the field. 2 recruiting classes isn’t enough. Putting 65lbs on Marcus Tatum doesn’t make him an SEC talent or mean his natural physique/athleticism is SEC caliber.

BYU may end up being the most important game of Pruitt's career. I think based on that game we will sink or barely stay afloat. Don't see a way recovering if we look like we did again next weekend.
Yep. As much as I hate to admit it, I am picking BYU. How could anybody not? TN down 14 at half puts in Maurer. We almost mount a comeback, but in true UT fashion, too little to late. Cougs by 3.

Those players need to be gone yesterday. The culture won't change with them there.

Yeah if that crap is true then we ought to just cut bait. I’d rather watch us lose embarrassingly with a team full of walk ons who want to be out there and work their asses off for it than a bunch of punks who are only in it for themselves.

It was significant, but it can be damage-controlled by winning at least two of the next three games. Start October 1-3, with UGA, MSST and @bama on deck and the season and recruiting are going to nosedive.
Agree.
No way to "make up" for this loss but turn it around and it gets lessened.
My concern is that I didn't see *anything* that suggests a turnaround. Great QB play would have made the offense look totally different but that defense, oof.

Butch Jones players still the leaders of every position group except CB, TE, DL. Still need another season of turnover. Too many guys here who have learned to stomach this kinda humiliation.
