This is what I was getting at. It is game one, and we have to play someone. Saying that it is an "early test" is comical to me. If that's the case, playing ETSU would be an early test as well.

If we can't run the ball tomorrow we might as well shut it down. GA State I believe was statistically the worst, or very close to the worst, D1 CFB team last year.

I'm looking forward to watching our OL set the edge and seeing Chandler and Gray explode around the corner for huge gains. $1 says one or both of those guys have TD runs of 25+ yards tomorrow. Same thing vs BYU next week.

Yes. It is semantics and the headline conveys his point very poorly. I just think by "test" he means can we top last year's results? I wouldn't equate "test" to an overall challenge. Just a measuring stick vs past results. So yes, ETSU or any non-P5 would be a test all the same by this meaning.

The headline is still stupid because in sports we mostly DO equate "test" to "a challenge", but from the article I don't take that is what he meant.

I wasn't commenting on the substance- just the headline. If we get an early test against Georgia State, then we would get an early test against any other D1 school we could play.

Of course, we are going to get an early indication if our offense is better...because we have to play someone!

Hi guys, I need some help! I’m wanting to take my fiancé to a football game this year (we used to go every year until we moved to Florida 2 years ago) and she’s never experienced the tailgating experience before. Do any of you all usually have a spot to tailgate?

Ga St was 128th of 130 teams in YPC allowed last year at a whopping 6.56 YPC.

Definitely had some variance there (held NC St to 115 on 32 carries) but mostly sucked (410 on 35 carries vs Memphis and 228 on 39 carries vs App).

I'd venture a guess of 32 carries for 250. A few breakouts, but mostly a strong "Success Rate" and low "Stuff Rate" is what my eyes will be on.

Was just gonna post anything under 250 rushing would be a disappointment.
