And I don't want to take away from NFL fans, they are left with what they are left with...loyalty to a franchise that has a rotating roster of mostly mercenary players.
Yes, a Peyton or a Jordan comes around every once in a while and is a great story, but even those guys didn't pick their new homes. Jordan was a Southern boy landing in Chicago. He made a 2nd home there and I think that's great. Peyton was also a Southern boy that made his 2nd home in Indianapolis and I also think that's great. But nothing can top the loyalty from one's own choice. Jordan was a Carolinian and chose to be at UNC. Peyton was a Southerner that chose Tennessee to call home. Those things are more special and top anything the pro sports will ever have.
