Back to the Luck discussion-

I’ve become buddies with a guy who played in the NFL and basically didn’t stick because of injuries. We were talking this summer about his plans going forward- the cfl had a spot for him and he had some other options. In talking to him about the surgeries that he had gone through and all the rehab, it just didn’t seem worth it to me.

I can easily see how a guy like Luck would just want some of his sanity back. Being injured, sick, or in pain all the time is mentally exhausting. I have Crohn’s disease and it’s been rough on my family over the years watching the cycle of health and sickness- I can’t imagine how much worse it would be if it was also tied to my life’s work. These guys are fairly young, even Luck is only 29 and college guys even more so- let’s think twice before our ranting about how soft they are.

tl;dr Don’t throw rocks at houses you don’t understand.

Hot take, indy wins the division. I'm no indy fan, especially after Peyton left. But they have a really solid team and Frank reich is a good coach and brissett will benefit from that. I may actually try to draft him super late if nobody else does.

Boy that is a hot take

My hot take is Jacksonville wins it. I think that’s possible

If I were him, and I had money, my parents had money, and I had a degree from Stanford, I think I’d be pretty tired of playing hurt for Irsay.

He’s got ā€œf@&$ youā€ money. If I had his bank account, I’d buy a place on St. Croix and post beach pics every day to rub you plebes’ faces in it until everyone put me on ignore. And then I’d buy Volnation from Freak and remove everyone’s ignore settings. And then post more beach pics.

That's the obvious choice, and they will probably be good if they tailor the offense to Foles strengths. Wouldn't be surprised if both make the playoffs. I don't think the titans or Texans will be good at all. I think indy is the most well rounded team with the best coach and a qb that I think will surprise a lot of people this season. He's been learning from Brady and luck and 2 really good coaching staffs for QBs.

I bet he moves quickly into a front office and becomes a gm sooner than later.
