I live less than half a mile from a Popeye's and drive by it two or three times a day. All I know is it must have hit critical mass the weekend before last because last Monday is when suddenly there were cars wrapped all the way around the building and spilling out into the road blocking traffic all damn day. I ate it the week before and didn't know anything about it; I just saw it on the sign when I swung through. The boy is retroactively pissed at me for not getting one for him even though he sat here and watched me eat it at the time.

What exactly is the deal with Popeye's? I know this chicken sammich they have is new, but the popularity of the restaurant generally really seems to have increased over the last year or two, and it is huge on social media. Nothing about their chicken, which is good (not as good as CFA, but good) has changed over that time.

Popeyes is so nasty. Not just their food. Feel like I needed a hepatitis shot after walking inside that ****hole

This was years ago. Hopefully they've improved

It's been a couple years since I've been to one, but yes, their restaurants are kind of unkempt. Also usually fairly slow.

The closest Popeyes to me is the Watt Rd truckstop and boy are their some characters in there at all times.

You just wait to get robbed or worse by a tweaking truck driver.
