Everyone in the country is hoping for a down year out of Bama. Recruiting is already starting to take a hit with several teams pulling in what would have been Bama locks a coupe of seasons ago.

Hate it for em...

Yes!..and I think Florida is on the downward spiral also.we just need one good season or Two and I think we will be giving Georgia a run for their money and Handing Florida vintage a$$ whippins like the good ole days.

That was such a pointless reply Devo....you can't win .2 of a game lol

6.5 = 7 wins
6.2 = 6 wins

Don't muddy it up over probability when real world application is whole numbers only.

No one is talking about winning .2 of a game...that is a probability that is given.

He doesn't have us at 6.0-6.0.
He has us at 6.2. And 6.5 ain't 7...it is dead between, splitting the outcomes in a normal distro.

It's like individual games. If he has us at 60% to beat a team, does that mean we have a 100% chance? We don't round to binary, nor integer, outcomes. Probabilities are there for a reason for models. There is no rounding, because then you have truncated and changed the actual prediction.

I get you are talking black and white, but that isn't his model.

What hearsay? There is a broken gate and a documented protection order. None of that is hearsay.
Are you saying he’d be kicked off the team for breaking a gate? Or for HAVING a mutual restraining order? No, what’s at issue is what happened during the incident. And SO FAR the damning allegation is hearsay.

At no point did I say he stated 6-6, I made that assumption rounding down 6.2.

Thanks, have a great day.

Just a little perspective on the perception of our roster losses this camp. So far we've lost Gooden, I guess we technically got one back in Garland, and Buchanon. We'll see about Bryce. Which is less than we've had at this point in camp in years. Texas was down to 2 RBs due to injuries in camp to 3 of their scholarship RBs and one walkon that they like a lot, so they had to move their highly ranked true freshman qb to RB to start the season so they could have 3. Which leaves them with only 2 scholarship qbs right now. One of the RBs, 4 star 2019 signee Derrian Brown had a stroke in January and it's not for sure he will ever play again. They also lost another 2019 highly rated signee in 4 star LB De'Gabriel Floyd, who was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis earlier this year and will be out for at least the season. This hasn't affected their hype much and maybe it won't affect them much. There's probably teams that have had even worse luck this preseason, I just have to hear about Texas all the time. Personally I think they're overrated right now because they surprised in the bowl game. They lost a ton of production to the draft and graduation. They have a good qb though which can cover some of that up. But they basically lost their whole front 7 on defense. I'm actually thinking about betting some of my longhorn friends on this opening game vs LA Tech. I think there's a real solid chance for an upset there.
That sounds like the basis for “That’s so Texas!”...they’re trying to steal something else. 😏

I'm not sure what a mutual restraining order is, legally speaking. I just find it odd to bring it up now, did the same "news" outlet harp on it in April 2018 BEFORE he arrived on campus?

I dislike selective reporting...and I'm generally asking why they didn't report this order when it was active?
Maybe because he was a juvenile when it went into effect? Still not sure of his age during the timeline.

Verrry interested in this game tomorrow night. Too bad it won't end till 230 am EST.

Night crew gonna have a busy shift on here.
I never get much from watching any of those teams play one another. All those ranked teams showing up to kick our butts in a bowl game just to limp home with a purple Vandy moniker.

Also why BYU's win over Wisconsin doesn't move my angst meter.
