This may have already been discussed but I can’t get the what i consider to be excessive ridiculous celebrations with props of Miami on Saturday out of my head

What happen to the days of making a big play in a game being celebrated spontaneously on the field with teammates and the reward of how it affects the game being enough?

I just don’t think all those damn props and look at me sideline antics is what college football should be about. JMO

Agreed. You did your job. You shouldn't need a cookie when you get to the sideline.

God the trenches are going to be a sh** show. Disappointed that none of those guys have been consistent enough to be a starter.

Still don't see how someone in 2019 will get away with even the he said she said of shooting up a school. Maybe 10 years ago.

Why wouldn't it be swift? He got in an argument and said some things he shouldn't have and broke a gate. I know what you're getting at with the justice system being slow, especially in Knoxville, but there's really not much here to investigate. Should be pretty simple and easy to handle from all parties involved. It's only a big deal at the moment because of social media, the world we live in now full of snowflakes and drama queens and douchebags. This will blow over pretty quickly and be handled internally, as it should.

Ron, my man, you live in a sunshiny world.

Yea, but this isn’t a Court of Law here. He’s not exactly “innocent till proven guilty” with regards to the University.

I don’t think he has anything to worry about from an actual legal standpoint.

But the UNIVERSITY can do whatever the Hell they want...

UT can't do whatever they want without opening the school up to a lawsuit. They'll follow procedure and legal will be involved.

So who the hell wrote that pronunciation guide? Besides some syllable spelling stupidity, the indications of stressed syllables is at best inconsistent and I suspect just wrong in places.

KWAY-var-US? You stress both the first and last syllables? And the last i is pronounced as a stressed u? What, does it kinda rhyme with Toys 'R' Us?

And you have KWAY there but QWEZ elsewhere?

And KUH-von? I thought it was KEE-von.

I like how the pronunciation of Rojhn is clarified as rohn. Is that ron or rone?

And the third syllable of Guarantano is pronounced "tan" like the color? I like it, sounds more like "book'em Danno."

I'll let 'em slide on the choice of LAWN over LON in Alontae. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But my favorite is "dare-uhl (one syllable)". Wtf does that even mean?

Maybe they're just pranking Kesling right out of the gate.

You know who should be suspended indefinitely? Dan Wolken.

I do not see how a publication like USA Today can continue to employ a media person with the childlike grudge, blatant bias and unabashed agenda against a program and a fanbase like this guy has. He behaves like the least popular kid in 6th grade-- the one who got his head dunked in the toilet after the cool kids peed in it. Or worse.
He clearly did not read the reports. He has never been one to let facts get in the way of his narrative.

OMG, give it a rest. We got it, you think we will go winless.

Dan Wolken, as always, gets crushed in the Twitter replies whenever Tennessee is mentioned. And rightfully so. Wolken is a spin artist, and definitely not a journalist in any sense of the word. Once a vaunted institution, The Fourth Estate has been reduced to a rage-platform for hacks like Wolken and his cheap prose.

And because there's barely any profit in journalism, outrage writers like Wolken get rewarded because they bring clicks and ad money. Being a straightforward, honest, by-the-book reporter in a quick way to be unemployed or working for a small-town newspaper with a circulation of 1,000 in 2019.
