Bryce Thompson out - potentially

You’ll have a shot real soon to help Florida implode on the field. In the meantime, all the best to Bryce Thomson, hope this doesn’t ruin his life or UT’s season.

Man! You really make it hard to talk s***... but in a good way. :)

Two young people with tempers had a shouting match. Things were said in the heat of the moment and a gate was damaged. Now it's become a life altering crisis and lives will never be the same. This country has gone absolutely nuts.

She should be banned from campus and forced to issue a public apology IMO. Just kidding, but seriously you make a good point!

A horrible trend toward guilty until proven innocent. Forget due process, forget presumption of innocence, let’s ruin a life based off a simple accusation.

This. Over and over.

It is mind boggling that an arrest was made here.

Seems like any time anything happens there's a strong minority of people who cannot rest until they've done their best to prosecute the case with a guilty verdict on here. Count them up. Heck, a couple years ago people made a case Middleton should be in prison and never allowed to play again and Kenneth George and Jennings too. How about you try and stay positive or at least shut up if you can't be positive and actually let the REAL authorities and deciders work it out with the REAL facts and options. Go Vols!
Seems no one remembers the lessons of the AJ Johnson situation. Yes. There are victims or potential victims. Then there are also guys who become victims as false accusations destroy their lives.

No kidding. Now we're all supposed to be woke or metoo or some other horse crap. Sick of kids being hung out to dry by the PC crowd.

3 game suspension sounds good to me

To hell with that. Everyone on this board has said something in anger that they wish they hadn't. He's a human being with flaws, frailties and a temper. He took his frustration out on an inanimate object not the girl. This idea he should sit for a quarter of the season is just nuts. I'd have him run a few sprints and tell him to pay for the damages and find a new gal. 3 games? For this? No damned way.

And if I read the story correctly, she's not exactly without fault in all this. One report has her making accusations of cheating on his part. Now, I don't know about the women in your life, but when things go down that road, it's very unlikely that she was calm, polite and reserved when she made the accusations. Most women are...well...just a little agitated under these circumstances.

If I had to guess, I'd say both young folk were a little on edge and testy with one another. It's human nature. No reason to take this and make a national incident out of it. Seriously, not a day goes by in this country without an untold number of couples fighting and saying things they regret.

Bingo!

And? Not sure what your point is. So there are levels of transfers now, some acceptable some unacceptable? If it’s a true freshman from across the country who’s not adjusting well and is homesick, that’s somehow worse than another kid who transfers for a different reason?

Be honest and be consistent. If Florida is in “chaos” because they’ve had 2 or 3 kids with issues with the law (all cases with charges dropped), and they’ve had 10 or 11 transfers, what about Tennessee who’s also had a few kids in trouble with the law and have had 9 or 10 transfers of their own? Or Georgia. Or LSU. Or dozens of other teams.

What’s the difference?

I hope Thompson plays, truly do. I’m simply pointing out how ridiculous and overblown the nonsense was all offseason long about UF’s “issues.”

You have no clue. Maliek Gray transferred because he wasn’t going to play. Chris Steele did not transfer for that reason.

UT has had 2 players now who have been charged with something and right now, both are still on the team. UF had multiple players not qualify this year. If you think it’s ghe same, good for you. No chance to help you.

Believe what you want. I don’t care. Keep justifying why it’s happening. No need to continue to argue with you.
